Sujet : The PS2 port of Size Matters

I think they only start acting out of character after the Dreamworld (And Clank even during the level)

Well from what ive heard the import to the PS2 was terrible!

Agreed.
For some reason this game was só ugly an the controll was really anoying. I was surprised that the PSP version was so much better. I thought it was a really bad game, but only the PS2 version is.

Well, I haven't played SM on PS2, but I have a port of SAC. Sanzaru (they are making Sly 4 right now) tried to add some details to the graphics and make this much better graphically. Unfortunatly, quality of picture was horrible, and loading times were LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO(…emojiOOOOOOOOOONG. Fortunatly, camera was working fine emoji

SAC I didn't like either on the PS2. For some reason the PS2 versions are just so bad and the PSP version so great. Even though they are the same game I stillt think that xD

How come the PS2 port is so terrible?

The graphics are réálly blurry, pixels fly all over the screen.
But that might be because I've played on my PS3 alot before I tried it on PS2. Though I didn't mind it on the PSP, which should actually look worse.

You would think that the psp would be worse because it's smaller

And its a handhld console. But if I remember correctly, Size MattersPS2 seemed to look worse than the other games on PS2.

You all forget because you hold your PSP in your faces, it doesn't have the best graphics. If you compared PSP graphics to PS2 graphics at the same scale you would notice that difference. Which is why PS1 games look so darn good on PSP!

Size Matters was simply ported with hardly any changes, the graphics went through no changes, so they looked poor.

Secret Agent Clank got a complete remake for PS2 probably because the Size Matters port was hated so much.

Ok, I see. Though it still looks great on my PSP, for a handheld game ofcourse. The colors are sharp and there arent't that many sharp edges.

I actually went to the trouble of buying the PS2 port and I can honestly say I regret it so much,it really was terrible.

Ok im going to bite the bullet on this on. But i actually prefer the ps2 port over the psp because i hated the camera controls on the psp and long jumping was constantly a struggle compared to just R1 and X so the Otto Destruct chase sequence was much easier on ps2. After a few tries and constant cussing at myself i finally beat Otto on ps2 for the first time in years. Got to the same place on psp.....still haven't beaten him. Possibly also due to the lightning getting toned down in the ps2 port and not blinded by the light. And honestly strafing seemed a lot easier to control because of the camera and also not mapped to the d pad. That really hurts my thumb after awhile. Overall i much prefer ps2 over psp purely for the smoother controls. Except for the clank challenges and skyboard races those still suck.
