Sujet : What if...

…Ratchet and Clank and Insomniac were owned by Nintendo, and first came out on the Gameboy Colour? O.o

Now, obviously we thought the Gameboy was the bees knees when it was at the height of its popularity, so do you reckon we would have enjoyed RaC as much? It most likely would have been a side scrolling platformer or an overhead shooter, but the basic premise would be the same. Go to planets, find lots of weapons and beat the hell outta the main boss (namely Drek).

Now, don't go saying Nintendo would ruin it/make it bad/whatever. I'm sure they might have done, but the focus of this post is whether you think you would have enjoyed it as much if it came out on the GBC (during the height of the GBCs popularity).

As for me- I think I might have enjoyed it as a sidescroller, but I feel it might have been harder to form a connection to the characters as you couldn't really make them have much personality apart from through the text.

When I picture R&C on a gameboy, I think it'd be a top down game like Pokemon or Zelda.

(also let me just add that I'm glad R&C is owned by sony, lol)

sorry if I upset you when I'm gonna say this but I'm only saying how I feel and think about that idea I just can't see R&C as a nintendo thing really heck if it were I might not have joind RG …. or worse it might be so bad that RG wouldn't have existed =/ I didn't sya it is but might.

Well, of course they won't : the Wii almost has the same power as the PS2 back then, so if they ever made a game on Wii, it would be going backwards and Insomniac always goes further, like most of the developpers.
Plus, Ratchet & Clank is a Sony-only franchise, so there won't be a R&C game on a Microsoft or on a Nintendo console

Not a chance, Sony wouldn't give one of their best and most successful franchises to Nintendo without a fight, plus R&C is going to be on the playstation move, why would they bring it out on the wii.

We would have been waving around Wii remotes now. Ofcourse, if it was on GameCube it would have been ok. I prefer GC over PS3

When I first played on a PS2, I knew that Sony was better in hardware than Nintendo is now. I like the N64 better than the PSX because of the games, but the console itself…

Nintendo wouldn't had blown up R&C when it was on the GameCube/GameBoy Advance or earlier consoles. But I'm sure they woudl have on the Wii. Any game was destroied on the Wii or DS. Take StarFox, I haven't seen a good NEW game yet.

Well sort of, It's more like a Mario game cause of the linear path, in MegaMan you create your own way to beat the game.
