Discuss anything about The Legend of Zelda franchise in this thread. You can even discuss about the upcoming Zelda game that is going to be out late this year.

So am I the only one who likes this franchise by Nintendo? Or are there other members here that appreciates the games too.

Your not the only Zelda fan.I may not have a lot of his games, but the ones I have are so fun and so hard!I only have 4 of his games:

The Legend of Zelda(NES)
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link(NES)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past(Super NES)
The legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass(Nintendo DS)

Anyway,I am highly anticipating Link's new game,The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I've seen some gameplay of it and I must say,the controls with the Wii Motion Plus are awesome.

So you're into the 2D Zelda titles Vox. I haven't experienced the first Zelda game and Zelda 2. However, I remember playing a bit of Phantom Hourglass on my friend's DS and it was an enjoyable game. Plus it was the game that got me used to the Wind Waker look since I had mixed feelings for that Zelda style back when Wind Waker was released.

I think I'm more into the 3D Zelda games rather than the 2D games. Ocarina of Time was my first and full Legend of Zelda game I have ever played, which made me got into the franchise even more. I know Ocarina of Time is highly overrated, but there's something about the game that's really mesmerizing to see and go through.

Majora's Mask is a really great Zelda game too, but I don't think it is as superior as Ocarina of Time. There are some things I go for over its predecessor, but the game requires a lack of dungeons, annoying saving game functions and repetition in gameplay. Since you have 72 hours to save the world, you're going to go back to the first day to see some of the same stuff and scenes over and over again. This is why you must make a to do list before saving and going back to 72 hours remaining.

So, I'm speaking on an old thread… as usual.
So, the Legend of Zelda, my favourite video-game franchise, not only did it get the best mini-game in the newly released NintendoLand for the Wii U, but it also is a magical experience. It's amazing how the series got from an old man in a cave, to king living in the skies.
I really love how many expeculations and theorys you can do with this series. From the classic 2D "Top-View" style, to the 3D ones, I like them all. If I had to choose my favourite Zelda game, it would be Ocarina of Time. Not only did it bring the series to 3D, it also made some revolutionary changes to gaming in general. The main protagonist, Link, has always a different personality since he is re-incarnated in every game. And what is it with all these people hating on Majora's Mask? It was the one that had town that lived, you developed bonds with the town people in that game. The story is the best one in the whole series, the objective of the villain is simple, PURE DESTRUCTION! The 3 days mechanic is actually preety cool, as it has you on your worry on "what should I do next?" The game wasn't abput wasting time. The lack of dungeons is overlapped by the MANY Side-Quests and all the characters that help you trough-out your quest. Majora's Mask my not be my favourite Zelda game, but it difenetely is, on my Top 3.

Well, you're missing alot, and I don't think a ReDead would be really "for kids". Just sayin'.
