They will show the past of Ratchet and Clank, but as clank gets born after the start of the movie there will be no past and Ratchet's past will just be boring from the moment he ends up on Veldin

She appears in the next game, but is killed off in two seconds of meeting her and replaced with someone's bland fan character because they won a contest Insomniac made up because they ran out of ideas (again). Also, you have to protect them the entire game, restricting your freedom.
