In a galaxy far, far away–yet so close…one Lombax named Ratchet would find a robot named Clank, and together, they would team up with Captain Qwark and the galactic rangers, and become the most epic duo in the universe!!!
That's right folks: Ratchet and Clank just released their first international movie trailer, and it packs a nostalgic punch! Let's give ourselves an intergalactic fist-bump, shall we?
The trailer depicts Ratchet's first encounter with a robot he would soon name "Clank." Chairman Alanzo Drek and his villianous right-hand man Victor Von Ion will stop at nothing to destroy planets!
The trailer also gives a first look at Dr. Nefarious! Back when he was a squishy, and a mad scientist, making inventions like the "Sheepinator!"
There is so much more in the trailer, from Fongoids to Tharpods to swarms of Mr. Zurkons! For waaay more news, stay tuned to Ratchet Galaxy!
I think that it would make more sense for a robot to have pupils that for them to not have pupils. Juanita could also just be putting on that smile for this report, kind of like what she did when reporting on Ace in Deadlocked. But this Movie/game is going to have so much going for it, that they probably won't have much time to go into Juanita's character enough to see her darker side.
I do however agree, that all this pupilification is getting ridiculous! But at least the characters aren't being completely re-designed to the point that they portray a completely different vibe.
Also… I have a theory that:
Since the Ratchet and Clank universe is so advanced, it could be possible for them to have been created with pupils. :/ I dunno, but that's how I would explain it
Yea, well the Ratchet & Clank universe has a lot of inconsistencies when it comes to advanced tech vs primitive tech. I wouldn't say that is a good enough excuse.

Exactly. The only other non-star wars example I think of that, is Treasure Planet.
heck, no one even knows what that is…

"pupilification"
That is a word that must be added to the dictionary.

All I know is that it was a quite unsuccessful Disney movie, never seen it. However, I played the PS2 game…

I was going to say that I'm pretty sure there are other robots with pupils in the series, but looking back, outside of the pirates, there really are no robots with pupils in this universe…
Even Ratchet loses them when he's shot by the Biobliterator in ItN.
I guess that was the one thing that's always remained consistent throughout all the games… well, not anymore :P
^Now that you mention it, I don't recal any robots having pupils either… It can't be a mistake right? They would have concept art for the characters and would have used previous models as a base. So…
This is a weird discussion

It was underrated, but very well done. It looks like a precursor to ACIT.
Yea i gotta say the pupilless aliens and robots kinda felt alot less out-of-place than the versions with.. which is weird considering pupils are normal..
At least they didn't give Clank pupils… wait.. that's a good idea actually, brb
And am i the only one who obsessively paused every second to catch a glimpse of the new designs or reused things?
The Alpha Cannon can be seen, used by Squishyfarious.
Also, the enemy robots are really well designed, really bulky though so i guess they are the "tough" enemies, and i'm sure we'll be able to beat them up in the game
The Galactic Ranger robots though seem to be very similar to Cronk in design.. interesting..

Why?!? Why would you destroy innocence?
