Well… we have one thread for Music and another for Films, so why not Television? (Even if maybe many of us don't watch any TV these days)

So like the Music and Movie Thread, discuss, chat or even rant about Television. You can discuss about any show you want, whether they are old or recent.

So let's begin!

Well, TV is pretty much careless for me these days, but I'll be honest… I do watch television sometimes. I just don't go crazy over it like I used to.

I enjoy watching a few retro programing and it's great to see some old school shows in Canada such as "the Golden Girls", "The Raccoons" and some old Simpsons episodes (from seasons 1-12). But there will be moments where I'll watch shows that are new too. The only recent shows that I would go a bit obsessed for are South Park, Reviews on the Run (it became daily now) and Tooned!

Sometimes I would watch a bit of some programming that my older sister would enjoy viewing such as Ace of Cakes, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Glee.

Hmm I'm not sure what to say because I don't even watch TV anymore O_O (mainly because we no longer have Sky TV here lol) but I used to like watching documentaries and things, not usually shows because I always end up missing episodes and things, thanks to my work schedule and the hours I dedicate to drawing/writing. But yeah I'm just not really interested in watching TV anymore… o.O but I did used to watch things like Futurama, The Simpsons and stuff like that.

All I ever watch these days is Scrubs, Family Guy, South park, the Simpsons, and an Irish comedy program called Republic of telly, which just makes fun of recent TV shows and movies (I like a lot of comedy).

It's been two years that I'm watching Lost, and I can't say I'm disappointed by the scenario (and the cliffhangers!) ^^
But I'm also watching Supernatural and Flash Forward, and those two are getting better and better too (Supernatural actually got more interesting in Season 4, so I would recommend you to watch the series from this point) emoji

I also love South Park and Spongebob (heck yeah, I don't mind telling that!)

I used to watch lost, but after the third season (I think), when the flash backs became flash forwards, I decided to hell with this, it's too confusing. I really hate those flash backs. I'll watch supernatural if I see it on, but I dont go looking for it.

also, come on, who doesn't love spongebob, emoji

My sister would check up on the recent Lost episodes these days and I think she get's entirely "lost" when it comes to watching the show. I've heard of Lost, but I wasn't really interested in the show when it first debut. And when the show first came out, that was the time I was in college, so I never had the chance to watch too much TV at the time. If I jumped into watching the show now, I would probably be pretty confused at this point. Usually drama shows and I don't really bond that well. emoji

As for Spongebob, I used to hate this show so much. Then I started to like it, then hate it again because the later episodes haven't been highly hilarious like in the older seasons. It used to had a bit of that crude and immature charm like you would see in older Nick shows such as Ren and Stimpy, Rugrats or Rocko's Modern Life (although those shows were pretty or highly cruder than Spongebob). But when more episodes were being released after the Spongebob film, it started to change and I wasn't that entirely entertained by the show anymore. The most recent Nick show that I would watch these days are Penguins of Madagascar. It has some funny dialogue that I can easily laugh at. I know that I ain't the only 20 and something year old viewer that watches the show. emoji

hey, I'm 20 too and I laugh at stupid things like Spongebob jokes XD (well, at least in the older episodes anyway, lol)

But yeah I actually used to watch LOST too but I lost track of it during the 2nd season, because that's when I got a job and started missing episodes and eventually, lost interest in watching the series :p

Everybody Hates Chris. Great comedy.

And Bones, such a great forsensic crime show. Aussies love it!

I see many people here like "Lost" on this forum. I have nothing against the show, but I feel kind of left out since I didn't watch the show right away. There are many people that are talking about it recently because apparently their recent season is starting to reveal things that are starting to make sense now (according to what my sister has told me, although I could be wrong).

There's another show I forgot to mention that I'm starting to enjoy watching now. If anyone here has a thing for sitcoms, I suggest Big Bang Theory . Me and my sister are pretty much in awe with this comedy series. It's dialogue is pretty smart (kind of like Frasier smart) that contains a lot of nerdy and physic jokes, but the humor and tone is so fun and enjoyable that many people at this time would really enjoy. Plus the cast of characters have such fun and great personality too.

I sometimes watch How I Met Your Mother (again, with my sis), but I'm starting to feel that the show is losing it's buzz with it's latest season. The recent episode I watched was pretty "meh".

Does anyone like Bones?

my mum loves bones I think it's cool and funny I also like NCIS emoji

I used to like LOST, after seeing the first season years ago but during the 2nd season I got completely 'lost' (lol. Because I missed episodes, thanks to my job XD) and then I lost interest in it after that.

But yeah I dont watch those other shows though… I just dont really watch anything anymore XD

Bones is done cleverly. The show is based on an writer's real life job.

My Dad is a CSI and he hates shows like CSI and bones because they're misleading to people, he told me one time that a garda came in one day with evidence and asked it to be ready in a few days and my dad laughed at him and said "yeah, in a few weeks maybe". He hates the way they show all the work getting done instantly in the shows.
