Sujet : Beyond Good and Evil in HD

Are you into action adventure games? Well, this is your opportunity to check out a great underrated gem that's going to bring an HD resolution for both PSN and X-Box Live Arcade next year called "Beyond Good and Evil".

Beyond Good and Evil had positive praise and reviews back in 2003, but marketing sells didn't go well with this game when it was release.

For those who have missed this title when it originally first launched, check this video out for more details and what the HD version has in stores (even though the girl explaining the game doesn't know s*** about the story concept what-so-ever):

My Thoughts:

I think it's awesome that they're bringing such an underrated game in HD, even though I already have this game for the PS2. But for those who have missed playing Beyond Good and Evil, will have the opportunity to play it. The only thing I am waiting for is a sequel to this series, but I am sure it will come by next year (hopefully) since Ubisoft is doing an HD version of the first game. emoji

I'm into adventure but this game is not my cup of tea even the look of it in gameplay looks boring to me emoji

Uh-Oh! Not another judging a book by it cover segment. emoji

Just Kidding Sig!

I could understand that the gameplay might throw people off there. The animations are quite wooden and the gameplay look a bit basic there, but in later gameplay is where things get interesting… unless if you're not into some stealth action.

I only like Beyond Good and Evil at best due to the story, soundtrack and originality of the game. If you are into those three elements, then you would be amazed by it. Kind of like with the Legend of Zelda games, but with a female protagonist in a sci-fi setting. emoji

I like stealth games but I'm not a master at stealth and I only have one legend of zelda game and that's twilight princess and I love it emoji

Twilight Princess is one game I haven't tried (don't have a Wii or a Gamecube to play that Zelda title). I've only played Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Both of those are great Zelda games too.

But anyways, enough of going off topic here, let's try too keep this thread on topic.

I did mention that the soundtrack (in my opinion) is one of the greatest I've ever listen to, but I heard updates that the HD version of BG&E might change a bit of it's soundtrack around, which is kind of a bummer because I think the soundtrack is what made this game so amazing.

And I'll be honest, there were some moments that made me felt a bit teary eyed in this game (in gameplay dialogue and some cutscenes). It didn't made me bawl my eyes out like in THAT "certain death" scene in Final Fantasy 7, but it was quite close. So, I think BG&E does an impressive way in expressing emotions in their segments and characters overall.

Oh man, I wanted to play this game since…forever. It's just hard to find it in your local Gamestop or Play n' Trade due to how underrated it is and being it's been a good few years since it's released. Same problem I'm having with finding Psychonauts. Yes, I know I could buy it off Steam, but my folks won't let me D=

Same will go for the HD release of BG&E if it's online only, won't be able to pick it up at the PSN.

It's true. Beyond Good and Evil is a pretty difficult game to find these days. I was lucky enough to get the game a couple of years ago, even though I did spotted another copy of the game again recently this year at HMV.

I have only heard that Beyond Good and Evil HD would be out for X-Box Live Arcade and PSN, so I am not sure that it would have it's own store release like other HD version games such as the God of War Collection and the upcoming Sly Cooper Collection.

P.S.
I agree with you about Psychonauts. That game is pretty much impossible to find. emoji

All the underrated gems seem to be so hon. emoji

Well the game is out for X-Box Live and PSN.

So far the reviews I've seen gave the game a score of 8 out of 10 only because it's practically the same game like the one that came out on the last generation consoles.

If you have already played this game, then the HD version might not be entirely special. But, for those who haven't played this game yet, I highly recommend you to at least experience this game once.

And besides, it has Jamaican speaking Rhinos. emoji
