In other words, what are your favourite games starring Mario, the Italian Plumber we all adore?

Mario did pretty much everything from sport games to kart racing and all the games he's been in have been getting positive feedback. There are a few Mario games that haven't turned out well, but the majourity of them have been really good and worth playing.

Name the games you've enjoy that had Mario in it. Whether you owned a copy of the games or tried it at someone's house.

Since Mario is the character that got me interested in videogames, so my list will have many Mario games I have enjoyed overall.

- Super Mario Bros. (NES)
- Super Mario Bros. 2 (NES)
- Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
- Super Mario World (SNES)
- Mario Kart (SNES)
- Super Mario All Stars (SNES)
- Super Mario 64 (N64)
- Mario Kart 64 (N64)
- Mario Tennis (N64)
- Super Smash Bros. (N64)
- Paper Mario (N64)
- Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
- Super Mario 64 DS (DS)

I'm sure this might be updated later on because there is a chance that I might be able to play later Mario games in the future. You may never know.

I have enjoyed all of the Mario games you have listed Tipsy, and I also enjoyed Super Mario Galaxy 2 (haven't tried the first galaxy game yet).

Ah, good ol' Super Mario, one of the most famous characters in video games of all time. I enjoy many of his game, alot for their great creative and cartoonish platforming and enviorments, others I like for nostalgia like New Super Mario Bros. Here is a list of some I enjoy that are my favorites.

- Super Mario Bros. (NES)
- Super Mario Bros. 2 (NES)
- Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
- Super Mario World (SNES)
- Super Mario 64 (N64)
- Mario Kart 64 (N64)
- Super Mario 64 DS (DS)
- Super Mario Sunshine (GC)
- New Super Mario Bros. (DS)
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii)
- Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
- Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)

Also, I must admit I don't really like the spin off Mario games (except for Mario Kart games and soem Super Smash Brawl games). And out of that whole list I'd have to say that Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy. and Super Mario Galaxy 2 were downright some of the best platforming games I have ever played.

Usually the Mario spin off titles can be a hit or miss for it's releases. I prefer the ones that came out earlier compared to the later titles such as Mario Kart 64, Mario Tennis, Mario Party 2 or Paper Mario 64. In my opinion, I thought Mario Kart Wii was utterly cheap, The latest Mario Tennis (forgot which one though) wasn't that memorable, Mario Party 8 was pretty boring, and the latest Paper Mario game for the Wii may looked good, but it had a villain that didn't match the Mario universe very well.

I would say Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Bros 3 were the strongest Mario games I have ever played. Paper Mario 64 was an awesome title too, but not as amazing as the other Mario games I've mentioned.

I don't like Mario Kart Wii and Mario Party 8 too. Because I think Mario Party 8 is the worst of all of Mario Party games I have ever played, and Donkey Kong is STILL not a playable character anymore! And I just can't like Mario Kart Wii because for me, driving with the Wii Remote is HARD!

I actually didn't had any trouble with using the Wii Remote for Mario Kart Wii, except for flicking the remote when you want to have a head start. The only problem I have for the Wii version is how cheap the game can be. When you are far behind or in last place, you get items that are crummy to use that won't get you in the lead. I think the Wii version wasn't fair in some cases to be honest.

I already knew Mario Party 8 was bad, thanks to the show Reviews on the Run. The hosts gave the game low scores and told people not to buy this one. I just played the game weeks ago with my friend just because he had Mario Party 8 (I don't know why, but whatever) and I wanted to see what the game was like. Looked like Reviews on the Run was correct with this one, Mario Party 8 was a pretty s****y game.

Oh by the way, has anyone here have tried Mario RPG for the Super NES? I heard that is a really good Mario game, especially when Square-Enix were in part in making Mario RPG. I assume not many of us have played it since it might be target for both Mario fans and RPG fanatics, but hey… I could be wrong about that. emoji

You don't have to apologize. Sunshine is your favourite Mario game and I bet you aren't the only one who likes that game. I know it has been the least Mario game that most gamers and reviewers have played, but I could see why they didn't enjoy Sunshine in some places.

I haven't played the game to be honest, but I've watched the cutscenes on youtube. I never liked the voice work that was added to the cinematic moments in Sunshine. It just made the characters sound pretty annoying and cheesy throughout. Oh well, at least Mario barely talked in the game, which could be the positive side about Sunshine's audio presentation. emoji

Hate to double post here, but I just gotta bump this thread up.

All I gotta say now is that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is another Mario game I really love and enjoy. It's just so spectacular overall and I like how there is some challenging gameplay in this Mario sequel. Even though I bought this game before trying out the first Super Mario Galaxy. emoji

Super Mario, one of the best heroes of all.I haven't played a lot of his games, but I do have a list:

Super Mario Bros.(Virtual Console)NES
Super Mario Bros. 2(Virtual Console)NES
Super Mario Bros. 3(Virtual Console)NES
Super Mario World(Virtual Console)Super NES
Super Smash Bros.(Virtual Console)
Mario Kart Wii(Nintendo Wii)
Super Mario Kart(Virtual Console)Super NES
Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels(Virtual Console)NES
Super Mario 64(Virtual Console)Nintendo 64
Mario Bros.(Virtual Console)NES
Super Smash Bros.Brawl(Virtual Console)Nintendo 64
New.Super Mario Bros.(Nintendo DS)
Super Mario 64 DS
New.Super Mario Bros.Wii
Donkey Kong(Virtual Console)NES
Mario Kart: Double Dash(Nintendo Gamecube)
Super Smash Bros.Melee(Nintendo Gamecube)
Super Mario Sunshine(Nintendo Gamecube)
Mario Party 7(Nintendo Gamecube)
Mario Kart 64(Virtual Console)Nintendo 64

And that's all I can remember. My all time favorite has to be Super Mario Bros. 3,even though it is super hard where I am right now.

I have never played Super Mario Galaxy, even though I keep hearing it's one of the Best Super Mario games ever.I am sad and sobbing.

And one more thing. You cannot save ghosts in the Virtual Console version of Mario Kart 64,which angers me because I never got to experience that with the original N64 controller.

Well, the Mario Galaxy games are quite an interesting experience. So there's a reason why game reviewers gave them such high ratings and perfect 10 scores, especially with Mario Galaxy 2.

Super Mario Bros. 3 is a great Mario game and it can be hard sometimes in certain gameplay segments. Which world level are you on now that is giving you a hard time? emoji

Wow,I haven't been on this site for a while,it's good to be back.

Anyway,In Super Mario Bros. 3,I am at World 8 Level 1!Even level 1 is hard in my opinion.

I am also updating my list of games I've played since I have been to the Wii Shop Channel to get more games(I was born in 1998 so that's why I'm so excited).

Update:I got so frustrated at World 8 that I restarted the game and started over!

Update2: Well,it took a lot of patientce, but I finally beat the game.In conclusion, only a game for the most hardcore players out there.emoji

Oh yes, I remember World 8 in Super Mario Bros. 3. Most frustrating game experience I had at the age of 9. That was a LONG TIME AGO! emoji

Speaking of the Wii Shopping Channel. I also have plans to get some classic games through the Wii console. Games like Super Mario World and Mario RPG are on my list to own once I purchase some Wii points. I've never fully experienced those two games back then, so it would be great to at least try them out now.
