My collection looked pretty weak earlier this year, with a broken Rayman 2 for PC, a Rayman 3 I cant find, and Rayman Origins for PS3.
I did find Rayman 3 a while back, good game. And a few weeks ago I brought Rayman 1 PS1 (PSP), making my collection look much nicer. I think I'll get Rayman 2 for PS1 (PSP) at around Christmas time.
I've played Rayman 2 on PS2 before, so I know I'm in for another extremely difficult time. It better not have the Baby Globox Minigame Races!!!!!
But ATM I've got Rayman 1 to worry about, after failing over and over and over I've learnet to take it REALLY REALLY REALLY slow. After every level I complete I save the game, and go back to the first level to rack up about 20 more lives, yea it takes forever. At this rate I fear I'll never get the opertunity to face that diabolical Mr. Dark!
I've found a site that claims I could maybe get a 99 lives cheat code. But it doesn't work! (here's the site: http://www.ign.com/cheats/games/rayman-psp-14227385)
I have tried multiple different button maps, but nothing is much better than the default, however the codes just don't work! Is it because I have the European version (I got it off the EU PSN so I think it's the EU version) or is it because Sony decided Cheating was totally not cool. And I agree it's not cool at all, but Rayman 1 is an exception, if you've never played it before and want to, be ready for a very difficult challange. If you've played it before but not in a while, I dare you to play it again. And if you find it easy, your sir are a legend!
Still a good game nevertheless
EDIT: Just wish to add a little something else to this thread. In Rayman 3 the Lums are very clearly pronounced LUM (like pLUM or LUMp), however in Rayman Origins according to the manual "Lums (pronounced "Looms," like ilLUMination, and not Lums, for dumb) are beings of pure energy possessed of a mind-bogglingly sunny disposition." it is clearly stated that it is pronounced differently. I don't know about Rayman 2, but in Rayman 3 it was so very clear that the word Lum is to e pronounced like dumb. (gotta admit it was a pretty smart line the manual had there, even smarter than the time it fired Murfy! :rire2
