I was at a fleamarket and this kid and her mother wanted to buy a GameCube. The kid asked what those wires in the controller were for.
That's scary. But it reminds me of in "Back to the Future Part II", which is of course famous for predicting a bunch of things that clearly aren't going to have happened by next year, such as flying cars etc; the one thing they did predict correctly was apparently the XBox Kinnect, as Marty goes into a diner in 2015 that's filled with memorabilia from 1985, including an arcade machine with a light-gun, and these kids are trying to figure out how to play the game, and Marty comes along and shows them how to use the light-gun and the kids say "You have to use your hands?? It's like a baby's toy".
Though speaking of VHS and suchlike, I've been doing some work experience at a primary school recently - helping five-year-olds learn to use computers, and one of the lessons we had was teaching them how to search for pictures on Google Images; as an example of pictures to search for, we searched "Penguins", and one of the kids found a picture of the penguins from the film "Madagascar", and she said "I have that film on DVD", and I thought "DVD?? You're five! You should still be using video!" Then I realised my mistake and felt old.
