Sujet : Fuse, Insomniac's new IP

I sure am gonna get it some time, but it will not be a release game for me.

Much the same here, it's fun, but not something I'd pay release price for. I'll wait till second hand copies are around then buy cheap.

I'm not really into realistic games. Realistic as in games with human characters.

Fuse is a good game but i don't love .
I prefer the R&C games . The script of Fuse is not excellent and the graphics are not awesome emoji
I won't buy at this output emoji

Though its 3rd person right, and not first person?

Ohw. emoji

I kinda hoped it was 3rd person.

If we are still talking about Fuse here, then yes it is 3rd person. It's kind of similar to the play style of Gears of War, obviously, the differences being, other than the creators, the story line, the weapons, the characters, etc. Oh, and the fact that instead of only being 2 players in the game, it's four players.

So 3rd person then? Thats why I asked here since one website says FPS and the other says 3rd person. Its kinda confusion. But when I see the screenshots, its probably 3rd person. Thank goodie emoji

I looked up a gameplay video, and it does indeed seem to be 3rd person. I think what may have caused the confusion is that when it was first announced, under the title "Overstrike", they said they were planning for it to be first person… I think. They must have changed their minds.

Good call!
I prefer to see the character I play as. Games in 1st person don't let you identify youself with the character as much as 3rd person. Like GoldenEye, I don't feel like I'm playing 007, just me as a secret agent.

They never said it would be First person at all.

When they announced Overstrike and had the trailer, the only piece of info that could be squeezed out of IG was that is was a third person action game… they liked that line. I suppose it made the game feel different from FPS and TPS.

But, some people just saw the characters and realism and just assumed it was a FPS. And when it was re-anounced as Fuse I'm sure those people yelling 'GENERIC!' were pretty blind and assumed it was a FPS.

It was never a FPS, and Insomniac wanted people to get it. This game sticks out. Play it for yourself guys, you'll find its awesome fun, and just as much an Insomniac game as Ratchet & Clank. Infact it's 200% more an Insomniac game than R&C could ever be! This time there are no restrictions by Sony.

It's ironic really. People saw Insomiac working with EA partners and working on a shooter on Xbox and PS3 and automatically assumed EA were ruining Insomniac, but actually EA are freeing Insomniac from the tight clutches of Sony! (of course that's the really brief version)

I really am not a Microsoft person. Its kinda like anything they touch dies. Rareware, the Xbox 360 itself etc. I just hope its not gonna be a full partnetship. History shouldn't repeat itself.

Its just one game for now ofcourse, but I guess you'll never know…

It this a joke!?

Seriously, Insomniac is NOT WORKING WITH MICROSOFT. Everyone acts like Insomniac have ditched Sony and turned to Microsoft because they are 'awesome'. They aren't.

Insomniac Games are smart people man. They are simply expanding their reach to more peeps. The best way to do that is to open a game up to the second biggest (and similar) game console. The Xvbox 360. But they work with Sony, and don't want to chose between Sony or Xbox, so instead of working under Sony OR Microsoft they are going out on their own (in a way) and OWNING THEIR OWN GAME. Microsoft, Sony and even the publisher EA, don't get to lay a finger on Fuse.

So Insomniac is working on the Xbox, that Xbox isn't working on them!

Fuse will be Insomniacs very own creation. Microsoft will not be able to ruin it.

Releasing a game on Xbox is what I call 'working with'. How would you know, Microsoft might be so pleased with the products they deliver that they over billions of dollars to buy the companie.

This is not a prediction, just a reminder of the past.

Insomniac Games are what you would call an independent developer. They like being independent. It's freedom, that's what it is. Companies like Sucker Punch, Media Molecule and Naughty Dog are first party developers for Sony. Which means everything they do goes through Sony and onto a PlayStation. And each and every one of them WILL be making PS4 games as Sony call the shots for these developers, and they said that they will all be working on PS4. So expect some PS4 games from Media Molecule and Naughty Dog.

But Insomniac are a different story, and they are proud of it. Insomniac never agreed to be run by Sony or anything like that. Sony supported them with their games, and would own the rights to their creations, but Insomniac can walk away and do other things for other publishers as well.

So for many many years Insomniac have been searching for a way to get some good AAA games on PS3 (and maybe Xbox) without Sony telling them what they can and can't do. Sure Insomniac and Sony get along great, but no one likes being told what they can't do.

So Insomniac, this independent video game developer found a way. A way to get games on both platforms without the hassle of having the publisher (and also the person who I assume would do a bit of marketing and investing) what is this remarkable new way? EA!

EA Partners will help Insomniac out by shoving the new IPs (because all their old ones were owned by either Universal or Sony) onto other platforms and let Insomniac control the whole thing! I don't know the specifics, but Insomniac remain their own company, and can own their own games! Dor once they are free!

So they have experience with PS3, and they would be stupid to turn around and work with something less powerful than a PS3 (because it would feel degrading or something) so the wise decision is to either make games for PC, Xbox or a portable device. I mean really what would you chose?

Portable devices have their ups and downs, look at how shaky the Vita is doing, JUST LOOK AT IT! The best decision would be to expand to a console almost identical to Sony' PlayStation. The Xbox 360.

BUT HOLD! Microsoft OWN the Xbox, and all of it's games too right? Well you could say that, after all it's their platform and all. But they sure as hell can't manipulate the companies making games for them! Just like Sony, Microsoft would have their first party devs, that do whatever they say, and show off all sorts of features. But the independent developers can do as they please, as long as they don't do something stupid, like put a destroyable Xbox in the game.

Of course I'm not a developer for either of those platforms, so I can't say I know all the details about these agreements, but Microsoft do NOT own the independent devs, and they would never EVER EVER be able to buy out Insomniac Games. Insomniac LOVE what they do, and they love being independent, they've made it crystal clear.

I really hope you get what I mean. The gaming industry is not all as simple as you think. We have those legends like EA partners and Insomniac Games, that will always help get games out with us, the fans in mind.

Fuse is Insomniac's own work, and it's got Insomniac Games written all though it. Give it a go, and you'll know exactly what I mean. It's funny, there are lots of explosions and the guns are straight-up EPIC!!

Thats basicly what your last post that I agreed with, but with more explanation.
However, I never said I disliked or hated Fuse. Just that I'm not gonna sleep in front of the store to get it first. It looks like a good game. Even before I actually read the review, the concept art en screenshots said enough. I am gonna get this game sometime, but not for the €50,0 or €60,0 it will cost. I'll have it used since I'm not really into the whole 'human characters' thing. Though I recently figured out that theres still good games with humans such as the Final Fantasy XIII and Uncharted series.
I'm gonna get it, I'm gonna enjoy it. But if I'm gonna love it? ''Who the hell knows?''
