Since the J&D trilogy has just been announced for the PSVITA, it is very likely that the R&C collection will be ported to the PSVITA aswell, this could also explain why it is taking so long for DL HD to be announced.

We'll wait, we'll see… Jak and Daxter had better graphics than R&C back in the PS2 times, so sure, that would happen. On the other side, for everyone's suprise, J&D 1 had lower framerate than the others… We'll get back to it if they announce anything
Ok, the only thing i can think of here is:
PS2 –> PS3: Lots of Glitches.
PS2 –> PS3 –> PSVita: Glitchtopia..

If Idle Minds ports the Collection onto the Vita, I'm not getting it..

Yeah, they just left way too many glitches in the PS3 version and Deadlocked HD, and it wouldn't be fair to Vita owners if they left in those same exact glitches plus more.

I'm getting it. I really enjoyed the Classics HD on PS3. I just ran into some music glitches. Oh, and the huge helmed glitch. But there rumors about Sly Trilogy (which I would also get day one) and there already is a Jak Trilogy. So I'm waiting for them to just confirm it all. Metal Gear looks good enough on Vita, Ratchet and Sly sure would too!

Is it awesome here, or is it just me?

We haven't got the smallest slither of information so don't get your hopes up.
Jak and Daxter and the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection are good examples of PS2 collections that got from PS2 to PS3 really safely with no glitches (except for 1 texture glitch in J&D) infact the Metal Gear Solid one had so much time and effort put into it that one of the games was brung in from PSP and all of the textures and models in the game were significantly improved.
MGS HD had so much more money put into it that it would likely face a smooth transition to Vita, and so it did. But the Jak and Daxter Trilogy has a different story. It was among the games which ported fine to PS3 in the small amount of time and money Sony provided. Obviously if Sony stood back and wanted to move something to Vita they'd look at the top 3
1. Ratchet & Clank
2. Jak and Daxter
3. Sly
Considering the R&C one was not finished (and when it was it was done horribly) it was out of the question, so why not Jak or Sly? They were done s so well.
If I were to guess what would be next I'd say Sly. I don't think R&C will ever be on Vita, it was done too badly from PS2 to PS3, PS2/3 would likely to be absolutely dismal!

Maybe you are right, but it would be cool on the vita!

Well. Sony is looking for games to let the Vita sell, sell, sell. Bringing more Classics HD's (and also new ones that are not on PS3) might be a good part to start with.

Yea, but I think they'd rather bring over the more complete and glitch free games. I'd bet they cringed at the glitches just as much (if not more) than any hardcore player.
I tell you what, when I make a game and there is the smallest little bug it annoys me so much, R&C Trilogy must have been a nightmare for the devs!

Its an awful thing to set a game free when there's ceraint glitch that you know of but couldn't solve. You company name is all over that thing and you just hope that the glitch doesn't show up or at least not too often.
But I think Sony needs to do a little 'quantity over quality' like Nintendo is doing with the WiiU now. So far the Vita has 'quality over quantity'. But people still don't wanna go ahead and play portable Uncharted, Killzone and Assassin's Creed exclusives. They should put some small teams one big titles and produce some stuff to make everbody cross that line and get the Vita. And ofcourse immidiatly switch back to 'quality over quantity'. If you understand what I mean

I know exactly what you mean. You are absolutely right.
We shouldn't have to worry that Sony are in charge of all the things we know and love, but the reality is we all do. They skrew things up way to much with portable consoles and ports.
PSP was supposed to be a legitimate thing but instead it was really just a spin-off machine in my eyes. We got Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank which don't add anything to the series (like every episode of Family Guy and The Simpsons after the first season or two) Jak and Daxter also got a game which did nothing but spit on the PS2 games as we got so many plot holes and contradictions it was just worth skipping all of the cinematics. And finally Resistance: Retribution which was a solid Resistance: Fall of Man-like game (In third person) which had some nice hateable characters in it! Yea the game was all great except only one of the characters ever counted for anything in previous Resistance games. Oh well that's the Resistance series for ya!
We also got a LittleBigPlanet game that many thought was good, but because I had a PS3 and LBP1 I never touched LBP PSP. PSP had some fun games, but they all seemed really spin-offy and if given new names and character models would have started up some nice new series'. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker was really the only game which expanded on a series and wasn't full of plot holes. Infact it was actually just as good as the games on PS2!
The Vita is getting off to a good start with games, and Sony should be very careful with this amasing piece of hardware. They are great at building stuff but they often suck at managing how to get them in people's hands. The worst thing they do is tell us all this stuff like 'You can remote play PS3 games! And then add disclaimers close to launch 'but only 2 games work with Remote Play and the ones we showed don't actually work lol'
A perfect example is the Vita's secret port. WHAT TE HELL IS IT? It's on our device and they won't tell us what it does?
