Sujet : The Jak and Daxter discussion

So, hi. I made this topic for everything about the JaD series, but now I'd mostly like to debate about one thing, and it being the world from TPL. You know, Naughty Dog gave us a great world filled with many places and sure more than we visited (I bet there were more Power Cells there, even though it looks like there were only 100, which Jak collected), and well ready for a sequel. Imagine, more Eco colours or at least powers and handling, more open Jak II-ish world, return of one of the twins, because:

BUT NO!

Naughty Dog put that at brake and detroyed the world with Metal heads in the sequel. I think Jak one was a rare platformyng beautiful game and what ND did is why I hate them. And every time something reminds me of the game or the world, a bit of nostalgia sparks in me. I completed the game 100% if I don't count the Precursor Orbs. And nothing more from the game, no more beautiful places… Hurts me a bit

Now, what do YOU think about the world (In TPL time)?

I agree that they should have stuck with the original and kept going in that direction, Jak 2 and 3 really had no connection to the first one.

TPL was much more original, I would've preferred if Jak spoke in TPL but thats just a small thing :P

I think ND should have made 2 trilogies, The first trilogy focusing on TPL and where that story was going, then a totally new trilogy based on the stories and style of Jak 2 and 3, because i thought while TPL was very original and new at the time, Jak 2 and 3 were still enjoyable.

But then ND just abondoned the J&D games and since then ive always hated them, told myself id never again buy an ND game, and i havent! Its a shame really.

I would have thought Sony would have gotten someone else to take over J&D since the demand is there for it, but apparently not.

And did you know ND was working on a JaD game in 2012 (I think) for PS3, but they couldn't get the story right. And people think another game would be a waste (of time, money).

Yh ND were working on a J&D game but they did The Last Of Us instead.

Its weird its not showing up :P i get notifications though.

There was talk if the R&C movie was successful a J&D movie and a Sly movie would follow, maybe that will bring enough attention back that they will bring back the J&D games (hopefully not ND making it though, dont trust them anymore)

I liked Jak II and 3, but I really missed the the environments and characters from the first. That artist guy and his little Muse were two of my favorites. Also, that drastic change in game-play. I knew people liked it, but I'll always prefer spinning and punching to using those guns. No offense, but their a pain to use now.

Yeah. I like the short of some firepower (Yellow Eco, cannons) in the game, making people face enemies head on or find a clever way around.
