Sujet : Really Random thread

I don't have a Ps4 yet, either. Key word is "yet."

I got it early for say… Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition? But no matter, otherwise Dragon Age 3 would have been my system seller.

Up Your Arsenal is slowly becoming more and more boring… Oh god…

It's only a matter of time. I wish I hadn't played it so much myself, don't make the same mistake. emoji

Yeah, same. Which is why I play certain games once a year tops.

I still play many games from my childhood every 6 months, most notably A Link to the Past. It's probably just time to put the beast to rest.

Anyway, changing the subject, how well does LBP3's story mode hold up against LBP1's?

I loved it, imaginitive, with great use of the new gadgets, abilities and characters (I really wish there was more of them), but most importantly - fun, fun, FUN! If not those bugs I'd certainly give it a 9/10.

Good to hear.
Hopefully it's not as painful to 100% as LBP2.

Plus I see a lot of great creators coming up with some sweet stuff emoji

Speaking of coming up with great stuff, how did they deal with the spam?

Wait, was there a spam problem in the previous games?

You mean you didn't notice?
Shark Survival, Mortal Kombat, Bomb Survival, etc…

Never browsed the community levels that much…

Good to hear.
Hopefully it's not as painful to 100% as LBP2.

I'd say it's worse to do, more x4 sections and hard to ace levels.
Also the spam is still there on LBP3, it's just that the way you search for levels has been downgraded to look like the PS3's XMB menu meaning that it's hard to randomly just dive into a random level to see if it's any good.

Pros

  • The story is well thought out
  • The new characters help add some nice variety to the gameplay
  • The new powerup tool is put to good use to create great levels
  • The story has full voice acting
  • The 16 layers are really useful for those levels that just weren't possible before
  • You get to have everything from LBP1 if you played it on PS3 and got a trophy or two
  • You get all the prize bubbles you collected in LBP2
  • It is easier to get 100% and ace the story in this game than in LBP1 and 2
  • It is harder to get 100% and ace the story in this game than any of the DLC levels
  • Getting the Platinum trophy does not require any online activity or the x2 or x4 things to be done (read the equivalent con though)
  • The community is really using the new tools to create awesome levels quite well

Cons

  • The story is quite short
  • There are some seriously bad loading times
  • You have to get 100% in the DLC levels all over again
  • The Metal Gear Solid Kit's opening level features a glitch that prevents you from collecting any of the prize bubbles through the sticker sensors
  • The DC Comics and Pirates of the Caribbean levels have broken enemies which spin around and make acing the levels a real pain
  • During cutscenes Oddscock, Toggle, and Swoop have pre-set costumes which change frequently between scenes (as-in they don't wear what you put on them)
  • In traditional LBP spirit there are 1 or 2 hard levels to ace
  • Getting the Platinum trophy requires you to complete each story level with a friend
  • Loading up a level and selecting "Join us" never ever works
  • Profile corruption is not unheard of, and I have had it once so far
  • There is no "Dive in" feature, so you can't join people randomly
  • There is ONE x4 area and a few x2 areas scattered all over the place

Wait, do you keep DLC prizes or do you have to collect them again?
Also complete each story level with a friend? Jeez, what do you think I am, a normal human being?
Although the no Dive-In feature is great for me. No longer will I have to endure random people wanting to join me while I'm in the middle of acing a level…
