And the likes. ''Hello ethnic diverse friends''

Is it awesome here, or is it just me?

Like HeatherGrace, I stopped watching cartoons a few years ago. The last things I watched were on Comedy Central/Nickelodean late at night like Invader Zim, the good old Spongebob episodes, Hey Arnold, Tom and Jerry, The Angry Beavers and Argh Real Monsters. I mostly watched them because Invader Zim seemed new and interesting enough, while all the old stuff just brought back good old memories of the cartoons we got used to watching in the early 2000's.
I can confidently say the only shows I watched out of the ones listed in this thread so far would be Ben 10, Invader Zim, and Spongebob.

The quality of cartoons these days has dropped way down into a pit of live-action nonsense. There may be some hidden gems here and there, but they're covered up by mounts of rubbish. Therefore, most of the cartoons I'm watching these days are online. The new ones I'm interested in right now are Gravity Falls (a lot) and Steven Universe (not that much) (probably because the episodes respect continuity and there's a greater story altogether). Adventure Time and Regular Show aren't that bad, both are worth watching from time to time only to see with what messed up ideas they can come up with. And then there's The Amazing World of Gumball, I just love the humor and the animation style of this one! I watched all the Invader Zim episodes! Such a great cartoon and such a pity it's been canceled!

Speaking of music… who won Eurovision? I really liked Georgia, Iceland, Belarus and The Netherlands. :oui:
It was kind of a tight battle with Russia, but in the end Sweden won! I'm glad it turned out this way because it was one of the songs I was rooting for.
Back to cartoons… Does anybody here remember Courage the Cowardly Dog? It was one of my childhood's favorite shows.
Speaking of witch, this gave nightmares as a kid:

Courage the Cowardly Dog was pretty decent. I too remember watching that whenever it was on. It was interesting because I have always been incredibly sensitive towards scary things, and some of the stuff in that show would have freaked me out if it were done much differently, but it always simply came across as just creepy and harmless.
In the spirit of randomness, speaking of Courage the Cowardly Dog has reminded me of how when I was a lot younger (we're talking millions of years ago here) I was scared of the dark and had a nightlight, but it always cast "scary shadows" oh the walls. So I always faced away from the light, which made the whole nightlight thing completely useless… not a good conversation starter, but random nonetheless.

Yea, Courage the Cowardly Dog was pretty scary, but I din't think I ever had nightmares because of it.
Courage the Cowardly Dog has always been one of my favorite shows as a kid. I would watch it every time it was on. I think my favorite episodes were "Night of the Weremole", and "Windmill Vandals".
Oh, and as a response to Rock Lombax's "Return the slab" image, I have this:
Probably the weirdest thing ever to be seen in Courage the Cowardly Dog.
Aside from All Hail King Julien, Star Wars Rebels, and Tmnt 2012, the only other cartoon i like is Gumball. It's the only cleverly animated, cleverly written show, that is on CN nowadays. They even gave it a series finale, but CN requested a new season!

That woman (mentor?) ended up dying of her anger, right?

When I said nightmares I meant only because of Ramses. I knew the show was supposed to be scary, but it was one of the main reasons I was watching it in the first place. I didn't thought the show was frightening, only that creepy image of the "mummified plant man of the desert" got stuck in my head and ruined a whole night sleep. In general, nightmares are a really rare occurrence for me, so they're quite memorable.
Speaking of dreams, we all know how strange and illogical they can be. If you think the Really Random Thread isn't weird enough… there's an idea.

For those who have seen Tomorrowland:
Not sure if it's been that obvious, but in the sci-fi goods store ("Blast from the Past", some scenes include a tiny blue figure of Mr. Incredible from the Incredibles movie by Brad Bird - the guy who also directed Tomorrowland

Ugh, I remember Cowardly Dog. A Trauma actually. Story time!
So back in the day, about 12 years ago now I think, we still had Cartoon Network in NL. They used to mix English and Dutch dubs. However I was to young to understand English or follow subtitles. There was this ghostly episode about a rock with text on it that disappeared. Now the first time I saw the episode it was in English. The ghost was super scary and it's voice didn't make it any better. More over, I didn't even know what it was saying. And what is more scary than the real thing? What a young kids imagination makes of it. It haunted my dreams for years.
Later they started doing Dutch dubs a few times. The episode with the ghost came on again and it appeared to have said: ''Give me the stooooonneeee''. Less scary, but for all these years the appereance of that ghost was burned into my mind. It was completely black, it had flowing hair and rags around it. Giving it a scary silhouet.
Recently that ghost came to mind again. Turns out that over 12 years my view of that thing was disrupted. When I looked it up, it didn't look like my trauma at all:
T'was cheap CGI!

Also, this is kinda funny. Same post count on 2 forums:
