Sujet : Games that need to be ported to PSVita

Didn't High Impact stop making games after the failure of that Fairytale Disney Prncess game?

Maybe they did, maybe I don't know. If they are done, then that is pretty sad because the fact is that those 3 PSP games (SM, SAC, J&D) weren't horrible. They were actually good, and I do feel like I got my moneys worth with them.

Sanzaru made the best Classics HD port so far imo, they made a great Sly game and are working on a very promising Sonic game as we speak. So yeah, I trust them with R&C.

What Classics port did they make?

If it's Sly again, then I partially agree. It would seem that the Sly port is pretty much spot-on (from what I hear). But I doubt it added as much as my favorite Classics port: Meta Gear 2 and 3!!! To Vita. I mean they were perfect. The framerate was constant beautifulness, the graphics were up there, there were no glitches, the guides that tell you how to control stuff make reference to the touchscreen and everything (even somehow during Codec conversations). There was LITERALLY one thing wrong with the whole thing: The knife on the touchpad in MGS3. That is all, the only thing, I can't find one other issue in the entire game. Even the colonel in MGS2 tells Raiden to turn off the PS Vita (And BB in MG2, but that's just text)

Of course I'm not saying these are the best games ever again, no these are the best ports I've ever seen. Maybe when the Vita Sly port comes out I'll be able to see just how good those games are then.

I say that Jak is the best. Maybe if I had experienced the MGS games when they were new I'd agree with you Ratchetruler, I'll have to pick them up someday.

Yeah, Jak ports were perfect, the only issue I found there were some of the icons in Jak 3.

EDIT
Wait a second we're talking about PS Vita? Oh, then I can't speak about that,

About Jak and Daxter… Kind of.

Jak and Daxter Trilogy/Collection/thingidontcare was all good on PS3. It was HDer, and had better framerate. But Kor's face will always bug me to this day.

On Vita the trilogy was a bit worse. (EDIT: By a bit, I mean a lot. It's farmerate was very very low. Even lower than Qforce… because that would sometimes rise dramatically for long periods of time… of course I still think it was a great buy, and will probably never play it on PS2 or PS3 again.)

Then again MGS HD was made by heaps of people. They were tagged onto the end of the credits in all of the games, and there are enough people to go out and make their own MGS game. Although we all know that without Kojima that is literally impossible…

And so, the Q-Force was mentioned, port made by three people (or so)…

Yes but I was using Qforce as an example of a game that had better framerate… getting use to too much negativity around that game aren't we?

Sure it usually has lower frames, but I don't care because I know (and have known for quite some time) that it was made by about 3 people, and Insomniacs stuff is hard to port.

It still looked really bad to me. And a bad port of not-so-good game is not the best thing that can happen… I wonder if ItN on PS Vita is real or not…

It'd be really awkward if t wasn't, the trophy list says PS3 and PSVita.

Yea the visuals were the real downside ultimately. But I still don't care because I've alienated my PS3 I enjoy the gameplay so much.

From what James Stevenson has been saying, if they are releasing an ITN port it'll be done right. In other words Insomniac probably have some involvement in the quality control department to ensure it doesn't hurt their image like Qforce did for some reason, and just have Sony pull the plug before anyone has said anything official if the game isn't up to the standards we would tolerate.

But they still haven't announced anything. It's good they're giving the developer more time this time.

ItN is still not scrapped? Good to hear! (as long as it gets a hardcopy release that is)

Well they aren't going to say anything unless it is released. It's sort of a 50/50 change. If it turns out good they'll say "hey look at this a R&C Vita game that doesn't suck, now download this for money" (There is absolutely no way they will be doing Cross-buy… is my guess). And it will be great.

Or, the game will not be good enough or be finished and it will be cancelled and we'll never hear a thing about it.

As for the hardcopy version. I highly highly doubt it. Qforce was slightly shorter and had multiplayer but that never got its own card, and there have been a lot bigger games that aren't on card either. The Vita is drifting more towards download-only games, and considering how brief ITN is I would bet that the possibility of a hardcopy version is slim.
