Aye, but Alister actually had a "Good" motive behind his actions which gave it that Plot-Twist-ish.
If Neffy was to be the "Final" boss (ACIT), Alister needed to have been defeated prior to this (or dies/etc in the final fight) and the battle would of took place at the same place where you fought Alister (but with a similar around-the-ring chase then into the Chamber). Would of gone either way, would have similar ending scenario, but without that strong "Lombax vs Lombax"-"Hero vs Fallen Hero"-"Final Battle" stab.
But yeah, though i liked the fight between Alister, i had more fun in Neffy's.
