Sujet : Ratchet & Clank PS4 - Official Thread

Ratchet & Clank playable at Gamestop shops? Cool. It's a bit of a shame we don't have Gamestop here, so I won't be able to play it. Infact the best game shop we have where I live has a playable PS3 without a controller, PS4 without a controller, Wii U, and had a Vita for the first 2 years since it's release. So I would never expect to get anything at all out of going to shop for games except for the specific game I may have been looking for.

The game shops we have in the UK can also be pretty bad in terms of the whole "playing in-store" shtick; the only game they seem to let people play on the PS4 is Fifa. Occasionally, there'll be another game, but still never anything particularly interesting like a console exlusive. Kind of makes you wonder why they bother at all… That said, I suppose it's still better than not having a controller…

The closest half-decent shopping centre to where we live is like 25 kilometers away, and that is the only place we can get games from, without leaving the city (This must be the most ridiculous sentence ever). So we don't exactly have much incentive to go shopping there. But when we do I never used to mind having a play around on the PS3 on the rare day in which they had a controller.

The last time (possibly 2 or 3 years ago) there was a controller there, they had Rayman: Origins. I know the entire game like the back of my hand, and hated shopping, so I just stood there and played it for possibly up to an hour. No one ever kicked me off it, and I suspect it was probably because I was the only person that had ever gone in there and totally aced a game that well.

It was nice of it to not be a demo, because normally they only fill the systems up with demos of games. It probably discourages people from using them for more than a few minutes.

EDIT: Sorry, this topic is getting really de-rallied, but to be fair, there isn't a lot to talk about the new game right now.

Most demo pods here have a console with a couple demos on it, most of the time the newest releases. No Ratchet, and I don't expect to see it any time before it's release. So it won't help me, since I will have it on release. Perhaps even a hort time before, sometimes you get lucky and you have it a week early.
A few months ago I bought Legend of Kay: Anniversary. One entire month too early! And I've made a lot of Americans jelly with my week-early Lara Croft Gold Edition

I have never been able to get a game early from any our our game shops, but we have one shop that consistently gives away all the pre-order bonuses and special editions upon launch for standard retail price. I think it is a nice feature. Too bad I'll never buy physical games again. Oh boy am I going to miss discs.

If you have Target or best buy in your area, there have been reports of the Ps4 game there.

None of our retailers are international with the exception of EB Games, which is also in Australia.
