Sujet : R&C Novels.....

I'd love to see R&C go into an action packed novel, their adventures are perfect for novels.
In fact, I'd write one myself if I had the rights to it.
I am currently writing my own novel, so I've had a little literature experience, but should R&C go into books? I'd buy every single one.

Hmm to me, I imagine the Ratchet universe to suit being as a 'Comic/Graphic Novel' than a novel, but that's just me of course.
And well, us fans are always welcome to write fanfiction anyway though =D only for fun though, of course.

I think that Ratchet could be written as a novel, and in fact, I'd love to buy the rights.

I think it would work better as a movie rather than a novel, coz after playing ACIT, its already up at Dreamworks CGI movie standard. I really wouldn't be surprised if we see a R&C movie in the future

neither would I. ACiT is a movie level for sure.

Oh yeah for sure. When I was watching the cutscenes, someone over here was like "What movie is that?" (someone who doesn't know the Ratchet games) so yeah, it's already much like a movie during those cutscenes, especially in Crack in Time.

Personally, I would see Ratchet and Clank more like a Saturday Morning Cartoon than a novel. It might sound strange for me to say that, but I know that I'm not the only one who thinks of this. The well written dialogue, the charming characters and the wacky elements can surely make Ratchet and Clank as an animated TV series.

The Future Saga sure has the look and vibe of a Pixar flick (especially in A Crack in Time), but the series as a whole will still make me think of it a an animated TV show.

you're right tipsy you're not the only one who thinks that ratchet and clank should have like a Saturday Morning Cartoon show like that will be awesome

That would be pretty sweet. Although, there were many animated shows based on games that turn out pretty corny and mediocre, which leads to one reason why there aren't many animated shows based on video games these days.

Shows like the Super Mario Bros. Super Show, The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, Captain N: The Game Master and even Pac-Man were silly and unbelievably stupid to watch. Sure most of these shows were around the late 80's to early 2000, but people that made these shows wanted to become big money w**res to ruin these video game franchises. In my opinion, The only animated TV show based on a game that was pretty decent to watch was Sonic SatAM.

It's also the same thing with movies based on games too. Most of them are in the meter of Okay, Mediocre, Bad or just TERRIBLE.

If Ratchet and Clank has it's own Blockbuster film, or an animated tv series or something else one day, I might be afraid of how the final products would turn out. emoji

you got a point there but I prefer the Japanese version of kirby right back at ya then the USA one (in japan it's called kirby of the stars)

Yeah I agree with you fully!

There isn't many good shows based on games, though if they're produced properly… then they could possibly be enjoyable and sometimes while watching the cutscenes in CiT, I can't help but imagine a movie/show like that… XD

Ratchet & Clank should just stay as it is, a really good video game series, not get turned into a tv show or movie or novel (well novel wouldn't really affect it). but once things (especially games) move on to other medias, it ruins them, i mean just look at resident evil, those movies were terrible. Game movies never will have the same immersive qualities as the games they're made from, no matter how hard they try.

Well said Rev.

And besides, Ratchet and Clank feels like a film or TV show anyways. So there's no point in sending the franchise to a movie director or such because Insomniac does a fine job in making this series fun and entertaining, whether it is through the cinematic moments or the gameplay. emoji

I'd still love to read them. AC and Halo and WoW are books from games…
