Sujet : The problem with popularity

So, the Ratchet and Clank fan base is growing ever larger as many more people are becoming engrossed in the fuzzy Lombaxes world. However, as with every fanbase comes the haters.
For example, I found this group on Deviantart today: http://rac-suck-ass.deviantart.com/

I was infuriated about this, purely because this group is aimed at a group that I co-own: http://rac-fans.deviantart.com/ (Read the comments down the bottom).

Yeah… sucks, but remember guys, there will ALWAYS be haters with anything popular, so when the English version of this site grows even more popular, be prepared for haters…

Exactly. Respect is the key thing on this site. At least I can ban people who take the trolling to that level, but on Deviantart, they never seem to take it as seriously as they should. This is one of my annoyances about DA.

I really don't see the point in joining a website of something you hate

Oh well, what are you go'in to do? Some people on DA have yet to learn that the right to deviancy is not the right to douchbaggery.

The only Anti-Clubs I support are Anti Anti-Clubs (if that even makes sense)

To be honest, compare to a lot of other games out there, Ratchet and Clank still has a small fanbase. Though a lot of the newer fans of the games are little kids (not saying that it wasn't the case before) being, well, the games are aimed at kids. So there are a lot of n00bs and childish(as in behavior, not age) people in our fandom.

But yeah,the haters were attacking the Ratchet club on DA and I guess this what spawned it.

Trolls are funny sometimes

Well there's going to be much good/hate on a fandom.

But only those who know how to control it can make it fun and understandable.

Those troll are an example of not having their emotion in control, the same goes for the obsessed fanboys/girls, no control.

I don't mean to disrespect you in anyway and not to start any fights/wars and don't get me wrong I love Ratchet and Clank as much as the next R&C fans but for goodness sake Ratchet and Clank is only a really good made video game and should not take stuff like this so seriously as to comparing it to someone spitting in your face in your own home if this site gets any haters to flame/troll and try to tick us all off we should simply igmore them and ban them the more we ignore them the more they will get tired of trolling this site besides as my sister always say to me 'each to thier own' which means each person have thier tastes and point of view of what they think of anything that they see or heard

This is why I left Deviantart for good. Everything about the site is all fan-base nonsense and it doesn't respect to what the site is really all about. It really lacks originality these days (unless if you're extremely talented) and people have to see all the Anime, Yaoi, nude photos, MySpace clone channels and unnecessary fan-base nonsense on the site. Now I know that every one on the site isn't like this and I don't mind seeing fan art, but majority of them are like that on the site.

As for this anti-club that this member did is really utterly useless 100%. I don't mind with anyone not liking Ratchet and Clank, but if you want to make an anti-club of something you really hate (anything in general), you got to bring out some reasons of why you dislike it. And saying that it only "Sucks-A**" isn't a good reason.

And that's pretty much the reason I left DeviantART back in 2008… and well I don't take any notice of hate clubs though (heck, even I had a hate club about me… at some point ) it's all pathetic and lowly, really. So I don't take it seriously… ignoring is the best thing to do

"The game sucks because it has bad graphics and no violence" I hate that people have to bring graphics into the gameplay of a game, and as for the violence part of that, games don't have to be constant bloodshed to be fun… Some people just need to get a brain….

Not to be too mean to those people,but seriously!Try different games.Thers are other games in this world than FPS shooter or whatever bloody and gory games you play.

And like Tipsy said,if you dislike a game so much,then give a few reasons why like for example,"In my opinion,this game is okay,but the gameplay felt a little too repettive,"or something like that.

Now,saying "this game dosen't have a lot of violence"isn't a good reason.
