Sujet : The Pros and Cons About Where You Live

Mention your home location (Only country or continent) and tell us the pros and cons about where you live. What makes your home country worth living in? What makes it not enjoyable? (if you want to be honest in some points)

It can be anything to be honest, from politics to music. Sounds straight forward, so I'll go first to give you guys an example…

Location: Canada

Pros:
free health care, maple syrup, John Candy, Jeremy Hotz, Leslie Nielsen, Jim Carey, Micheal J. Fox, Phil Hartman, Barenaked Ladies, Arcade Fire, Our Lady Peace, Alanis Morisette, Colin Mochrie, Maurice LaMarche, age 19 and up to Drink Alcohol, David Kaye, Tara Strong, Reviews on the Run, EP Daily and Tim Hortons (most addicting coffee place ever).

Cons:
Nickelback, expensive bus transit and gas prices and Justin Beiber.

I'm sure there is more I forgot to add, but that's all I got.

I've realize that Canada has some well known talented people out there.

Pro's:
Wildlife, culture, landscape, we gave the world lord of the rings (you're welcome) Friendly people, Peter Jackson, flight of the concords, Edmund Hilary.

Cons
The landscape can be dangerous. Lots of sandflies (the mosquitoes no-good cousin) earthquake fault lines. thats all I can think of!

I knew I would get yelled out for that.

If you like Nickelback, that's fine, but I still don't like them. A lot of their music sounds too identical and annoying for my taste. Even to this day, songs like "Someday" and "Photograph" are a few examples of their songs I CANNOT stand.

United states. Pros: 50 different states to choose from, social securety, disney theme parks, and Ratchet and Clank. Cons: hanna montana, the resetion we are in now. There are way more but too many to list.

New Zealand, yet another! Muwahahahahaha *quietens* well anyway…
Here the pros are:
Funny comedians and stuff… I can only really think of one? Rese Dabi, i dunno how it is spelt but it sounds like that lol
and as for a second?.. Oh we dont have any deadly animals!
the third? Dunno really? I like how we pronounce and spell things? But i'll bet that is what everyone says… Example Color to colour, Mom to Mum & so on…

now for a bucketload of cons!
This is for exact location (New Zealand, Tauranga, Oropi) NO INTERNET! Okay yea we have two types: Mobile broadband (USB) & Dial-up. None work with getting our PS3 online… ATM
We don't have any game making places… AT ALL! Not one. Well there goes my plans for world domin- Er being a game guy :P
And i know we arent the only ones, but BUGS! Oh god the bugs! I… Hate… BUGS! You could say it's a fobia? The only bug type i can stand is the Wasp LOL they dont scare me? And they are like one of the worst ones over here worst be the spiders. OMG i hate 'em!

Iceland:

Pros: beautiful landscape, Sagas of Icelanders (JRR Tolkien got some inspiration from them), first female president, some movies had a scene filmed here like Batman Begins, Jón Páll (won worlds strongest man 4 times). Also the old myths are awesome, such as the volcano Hekla ( don't talk to me about volcanos ) witch was caleed ''The Gateway to Hell'' during the Middle ages.

Cons: the financial crisis, it's cold, the name (many people think my country is just like the south pole and north pole ).

That's all i can think of right now.

My location is in Texas(I don't have a Southern accent) and I will now list:

Pros:Lots of nice cars,good schools,many stores near my neighborhood,big homes,quiet neighborhood,cool city

Cons:Always hot(except from December to January),WAY too many dangerous bugs,dosen't rain a lot

And that's all I can think of at the moment.Not much.

Wisconsin (United States)

Pros: High-speed Internet, nice trees, lots of lakes, no dangerous insects.

Cons: Cold Winters and Mosquitoes.

I agree! Wasps are the worst insects to ever exist! All they do is build nests around walkways so that they can sting an unsuspecting passerby.

Minnesota, United States

Pros:
privacy, open land, lots of uncut forests, no shoetage of lakes what so ever, and Larry the Cable Guy

Cons:
really cold winters, and hot summers, and rain

But why i dont mind them? Because… Well i'll just say why i hate the others, Wasps don't match this description.
Spiders have all those creepy legs, and they are just CREEPY! Flys are idiods and love me always bombing me, and flying into me like i am some hunk of poo or something? And cokroaches are as freeky as those flippin' spiders.
Wasps… They don't annoy me? They have the power to sting me and hurt me, but i have the power to take it like a man… Okay so maybe that was a fib… But they don't crash into me. Just hover around. I mean sure i gotta be cautious, but they don't scare the living hell outta me.

The only insect with a stinger that I can stand are honeybees. They are my favorite insect.
