Sujet : The ACTA Treaty

if you thought SOPA and PIPA were bad, they were only parking tickets compared to the storm thats coming….

the ACTA treaty (Ant-Counterfiting Trade Agreement) is now the biggest threat to those of us who love the internet and all the sites that are on it, this doesn't just affect the US, this one is GLOBAL! and not only is it a complete breech of your privacy with how they'll be watching everything you do, people will die as a result of this, because "in the name Patents" Meds that could save lives will be banned and crops that can feed people in third world countries wont be allowed be sent.

repost this in journals, put it on your facebook and twitter

we need to spread the word and make sure this treaty is known about and not passed behind our backs
we wont let them ruin the internet
we need to fight

Ok now it's enough!

I hate those guys! aH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just so tweet this!

STUPID ACTA!

Oh this is just taking the ****!
First U.S. Congress decide they want to censor and ultimately destroy the internet, now Japan are trying, Just how many petitions am I going to have to sign before I can be sure the internet is safe?!
They shut down nappster didn't they? If they want to stop online piracy, why don't they just shut down PirateBay and be done with it, because otherwise they're just taking away the people's right to freedom of speech! emoji(

Enough. Just…enough.

Why are these bastards so bent on reinforcing copyrighting that they're willing to crush innocent online activity?! emoji emoji( emoji emoji

Is there an actual petition against it of some sort? The link to the anti-ACTA website on the description of the YouTube video doesn't go to an anti-ACTA website.

I would approve any law like this if it were to be used ONLY against safety threats like terrorism and real organised crime, but come on, PIRACY?

Nevertheless, my country's intelligece office/state police already has the right to monitor all means of communication, on behalf of "national safety". They just don't care about other than terrorism and espionage.

Furthermore, I really question the functionality of ACTA as China and Russia aren't in it? How come it's going to work if the world's two pirate product/pirated IP safe havens aren't joining in?

This is going way too extreme regarding to online activity.

Like some people said, the issue should be more concern on media with such extreme material like terrorism, organized crimes and real murders, but not on pirated work unless someone is submitting copyrighted work on a home site without permission.
