It just occurred to me that the location shown at the end of the trailer is Metropolis/Kerwan. Maybe this means that the franchise will at last return to the Solana Glaxy…

I will be an original story. It will tell about how R&C have met, main villain is Drek and it's set in Solana, but it's going to be a new story, just similar to R&C 1. We already know we'll met Galactic Rangers there.

Well, it's still a re-telling of the first game, all the key plot-points are there.
I also expected something similar to the comics. But since there are gonna be a lot of parents and just people that spend a day in the cinema watching as many movies as they can (I know those people) they have to tell the whole story for people to understand or you will need sooo many flashbacks! o.O
This thread could do with a better title. The current one doesn't really say much about what this discussion is about.
As for the movie: I always knew that they would get one! Back in the days of ToD I got the feeling a movie would do the games well. But after playing games like inFamous, Uncharted and Metal Gear Solid I kind of lost interest in seeing a movie about Ratchet & Clank. But when I read the comics I knew there had to be a movie!
So I guessed right the third time.
Uncharted it getting a movie too right? Sometimes it really hard to distinguish a rumor and a fact. That would make a great package with the rumors about the 3rd Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed and Metal Gear movies.
With Uncharted I hope they will ask Emily Rose to play Elena Fischer. I just love her as Audrey Parker in Haven and she's her voice actor after all!
Uncharted and Metal Gear Solid were confirmed and MGS is supposed to have Kojima working with it. Good old Hideo, he'll be stuck with the Metal Gear curse for the rest of his life… still, it's an awesome series!
inFamous was going to get a small little movie, but that was so long ago everyone has given up.
But Ratchet & Clank just popped up with all this info and a little clip pretty much confirming the presence of the voice actors. MGS and Uncharted could do with a little video or something too.
Uncharted and Metal Gear Solid will have to have different actors though, and I really like the current cast for the two games… oh well, at least we KNOW Ratchet & Clank will be awesome! I can't wait to see Drek, he's apparently more something!!! (I was going to say evil, but TJ didn't really say much other than: https://twitter.com/TJ_Fixman/status/327985499908210691)
