The endless battle of the consoles, which side(s) are you on?

PlayStation 4:
This is the console I think is best so far. Its a PlayStation and anything PlayStation is cool. The presentation was one big blow of insane awesomeness! Everything good stays. No changes in the controller, not some silly name etc. Its what the new PlayStation was surposed to be. The games they showed looked great. I'm a fan of neither, but they still looked great. The emotion in the eyes of the old man, incredable. I can't wait to see that same emotion in all of my favorite PlayStation heroes!

WiiU
I've been a Nintendo fan for almost my whole life. That was until the Wii. What kind of controller was that and those games. They went from better to worse. The first few years I loved that thing, but later on I hated it more and more. So when I heard the name WiiU I already lost my fate in this console. But when it came out and I tried it at a demo stand it was actually a pretty nice device. The second screen is useful and also the 'Gyro sensor like thingies' can come in handy. Zelda OoT played much better on the 3DS than the N64. Why was that? Well, except for the slidepad… it were the 2nd screen for your items and the Gyro controlls for precision aiming. The device itself is A-OK. But I haven't seen any games I wanna play… yet.

Xbox One

No need to explain, I think everybody knows about the great media aspects the One has. Not the one as in the 'chosen one', but one as a rating of 1 out of 10. I've never liked Xbox. I do own an original Xbox (can't call it Xbox1 anymore I guess). I got it for free, thats the only reason I have it. And maybe the exclusive Buffy the Vampire game. That out the way, admit it. The Xbox is a very crappy device. It dies on you, doesn't always work and just can't be trusted. The Xbox One won't even be a game console at all, it will be a very expensive iPad that you can hook up to your 'television'.

So what is your personal opinion about the 3 new devices.
If you want you can ofcourse also give your opinion about the Steam Box, Neo Geo X etc.

Well judging by videos and comments on youtube it seems people are more into the PS4 than the Xbox One,personally i think they both look great and I won't be buying a PS4 unless a R&C game comes out on it.

Well, I can say straight off I'm not really interested in the WiiU. Never owned a Nintendo console, so I don't have a clue what games there are, apart from Mario.

The PS4 is okay, but I'm not going to upgrade for a while. When there are some games that I want and the price is lower then I'll consider it. It looks cool but the release games are also coming out on PS3, so why upgrade yet?

XboxOne.Although I have a 360 now, so I can play minecraft with my bro and mates, I've never been a big Xbox fan. Probably cos of the wierd controller layout. Too long as a PC and PS gamer has kinda fixed my opinion on how a controller should be shaped. Plus it's kinda heavy…… and anything Microsoft is a bit of a rip-off. They can't make a computer OS work properly after 20 odd years so how can they make a console OS work??

I assume everyone is going for PS4 when a new Ratchet comes out. But still there might be some rogue fans that wanna have a Nintendo or Xboc console as well.

I only have money for one console. Actually I have no money yet, but I'm gonna work for it ^^
So there is this fight between my favorite and 2nd favorite franchise. Having StarFox to be my 'Golden Franchise'. Its more likely that there is going to be a new Ratchet than a new StarFox, but I still have hope. So which company is first, gets my money.

Well, the only reason I'd buy a Wii U would be for Smash Bros 4, but there's rumors that it will come out on 3DS, so I'm going to pick up the PS4. And Microsoft would have to do one thing to redeem themselves, and that'd be to say these exact words at E3: "Hey, remember the Xbox One? Yeah that was a joke".

Its not a rumor, SSB. is going to launch on 3DS. And since I have a 3DS, there's no need to buy a WiiU… yet.

Rather depressingly have just seen the PS4 and XboxOne up for pre-order on amazon. £600 each. Definately not buying one at that price. The only thing I own that cost more than that was my car

Likewise, there wasn't any release dates on them, just pre-order and recieve notice of the release. That is an excessively high price for a console. Plus the controller is expensive, considering the abuse they get, and I did see a PS4 game for pre-order at £80…….. PS3 games are expensive enough at £40.

No matter, there's probably not a Ratchet coming up before 2015 anyway. Maybe the prices have dropped by then, there's a crisis going on here. They ought to adjust their price to that.

Yeah, it was just a placeholder. The price was told to be £349 / €399 / $399, as most of you might know now that E3 has passed. Quite a lot more reasonable than the PS3's starting price at €699.

Pretty damn awesone E3 right? XBO was destroyed by Sony!

€399 is a very decent price. Though I'm not getting the PS4 anyway until a new Ratchet, Sly or Uncharted is released
