You're telling me you didn't mean to post the perfect post that I quoted? But its so coherent and detailed. I couldn't have said it better myself!

I don't think my own words can quite do it justice. Maybe this can:

After seeing what aster has done with this screenshot, original version will never disturb me emoji

Okay, so the stupidest random thing just happened. Last year there was this super sale in a media store and one of the things I bought was Rabbits Land for Wii U (€5). I don't own a Wii U, so I never played it. A few days ago I saw a picture of my room where, for the first time, I saw that the game said 'Rabbits: Pretpark' which is a Dutch translation of the title. I wanted to check the disc to see if it had the same title cause if it did the game most likely had to be played in Dutch. So I open the box and… what the hecky? Ubisoft Fitness Coach? They swapped the discs! I always open my boxes and one rare time I don't and the wrong game is in there. And of all Ubi titles they could have mixed up, I'm stuck with a trashcan game…

You know, I wish that happened to me.

If when I first got given the Jak games by one of my friends on PS2, the Jak II box had instead another disc in it, I would have never had to play that game and be tempted to get an HD version, and then try and complete any of THESE STUPID RING CHALLENGES!

But seriously, that is pretty funny emoji

It is not meant to disturb, its meant to inspire!!

@HeatherGrace: That sucks! That happened to my friend once too; She bought a Used copy of Zone of the Enders 2 because it was hard to find, only to open the game months later to realize it was the FIRST Zone of the Enders inside (which she already owned). But by then it was much too late to return it.

Ho ho emoji Sorry, I couldn't stop laughing emoji I don't really play games in my native language (Polish in that case) as well, so I often change the console's language (so far only Naughty Dog, Sanzaru and Blitz Games allowed me to change the language in-game). But every time I forget to switch back to Polish when I boot up Rayman Origins I'm stuck with russian emoji

I don't know how anyone could 'not open' a case? I mean whenever I get a game it's such an event I rip straight into it no matter where I am.

Despite you don't own the console the game is designed for?

I'm usually the same as you (with the exception of when I bought Mana-Khemia 2, I still haven't played that one for some reason), but my friend liked to buy games just to say she had them sometimes. Bragging rights I guess. Wish I had that kind of money. emoji

I can't imagine getting a game for a console I don't own. But still, if I did I wouldn't get the game and just put it away. I'd marvel at it for a few moments and look forward to playing it for as long as I could before I remember I don't own the system.

*thinks*

Actually it has happened to me. I have gotten a game without owning the system, and that was Ratchet & Clank: Qforce. I did not have a PS3 during that time, I was far from home and after a few weeks once I had returned home the PS3 was busted (it was broken before we left). During that time I had the game I opened it up to read the manual, check out the disc and inside cover more than a few times… I guess that's just the sort of person I am.
