It's better than hurting you're hands with hot water all the time. I should really check the temperature before I put my hands in the water :/

That feeling when you burn your finger while boiling pasta

Luckely I haven't had that problem yet. Probably because I love microwave pastas.

…or when you're on the bus and you feel your head slowly slips forward and you're falling asleep. Unfortunately I always wake myself up at that point… The human body is silly

Rice? That means we technically eat pasta almost everyday . By the way, are you a fan of Asian foods?

There's spaghetti too, but I couldn't find the right picture
Asian-Asian? Or Chinese that is actually Indonesian that is actually Dutch? Loempias and all that good stuff I like, but I ate in an Korean restaurant once and…. Not my thing. I'm actually a bad eater. But you eat rice all the time? I like rise, but not most of the vegetable recepies.

Well, many of our foods are inspired from foreign foods. Like the loempias (some call it lunpia here), that's Chinese. Nasi goreng (fried rice)? Also Chinese. Satay? Middle Eastern kebabs. And our oxtail soup, I believe it's Dutch.
Oh, hope you guys aren't hungry while we're talking about food . And yeah, we eat rice as our main food, like potatoes for westerns. Even in the morning, some of us also eat rice as breakfast, or at least "processed rice" like porridge.
Funny thing about us, Indonesians: for some of us, if we haven't eaten rice, that means we haven't ate. At all. . Like me, I once ate some meatballs, which were enough for me as early lunch, but then I was told to eat something with rice. We also sometimes enjoy eating noodles with rice.

I really like koe yu luk, little balls with chicken in it. Not sure where that originally came from though. And oxtail *shivers*, we had that at work. My co-worker creeped me oit by sailing they put an actual tail in it. With hair. It's not true, but I'm never eating it again.
Rice for breakfast nice!
Ha, cool. So you haven't lived a day unless you ate rice? So, rice pizza's hmm?

Nah, it doesn't always apply on us. If something other than rice is enough, then it's okay. It's just the fact that we really like rice.
But, oxtail soup is nice! Well, I understand. That experience must've really creeped you out.
Oh, ever heard of "ketupat"?
We eat it on Eid Al-Fitr (the day after the end of the fasting month of Ramadhan) and Eid Al-Adha (the day where we sacrifice either a cow, goat, or camel, and then donate the meat for the poor).
