Sujet : Really Random thread

I am only aware of it's use in Australia and New Zealand. We have a lot of slang words like that which I never use, because I like to be as formal as possible when speaking. But when it comes to written text I let "mozzie" slip, because it's a heck of a lot easier to spell.

I do find the buzzing noise very irritating, but at least they have no real mass, so I never really feel them or notice them at all when they land on me. Flies on the other hand are quite reckless and crash into me with a fair bit of an impact. Nowhere near as majestic as the mosquito.

I would suck living in countries where these bugs could transmit horrible diseases! emoji

Alright, I believe you. You have me convinced not to give up on inFamous as a series yet emoji

Like I said, getting inFamous 1 and 2 is a little tricky here. Someone somewhere decided that the BeNeLux should get a version that only has the French and Dutch dubs. So I'll have to wait till I find a UK or US release in our version of GameStop. Otherwise, I would probably already have played them years ago.

Interesting… what about eBay? Is that a thing that you can use to buy games, or are the fees quite ridiculous? I imagine the fees are ridiculous.

Oh, definitely! Most of the time I get lucky, but the taxes you have to pay extra in some cases. Wow. I rather not buy current-gen games on eBay because they're probably going to pick those out for some extra money. :/

Good thing the inFamous duology is previous gen then! I believe the games were dated 2009 and 2011, so that';s kind of old by now.

Either way, there is a nice collection that has them bundled together. But regardless it would seem you'll be luck to just get any old copy of these games.

I guess I sort of take for granted just how easy it is for me to get my hands on pretty much any game I could ever want in English.

EDIT: By the way, your avatar scares me.

Maybe you'll just stay fine in developed tropical countries like Singapore, but never underestimate mosquitoes here. They make and sell bug repellents for real reasons.

Well we use strong bug repellent to keep them away from us for the reason that when they get their little tubes all in ya they cause annoying itchy bites. They can still ruin a fine day.

But yea, I know not to underestimate them overseas. In fact when in counties like Australia you can't trust anything that moves.

Ah, oops. Next-gen is current-gen now. emoji
Government doesn't care how old it is. Video game is a video game, an extra €25 it is. So <PS2 is all I buy on eBay. emoji

Well, it's not supposed to be hard. A Dutch dub is usually never made, the back of the box says:

Manuel: Dutch
Text: English
Spoken Language: English

on the back.

9 out of 10 times we even share a disc with England, but inFamous just happens to be the only PS3 game that doesn't include English. So weird…

What, you're affraid she's gonna 'rock' you? emoji

…………..

Oh, btw. I loved the credits! Like a movie it starts with the major people, then your usual staff roll and with unique music. The way a credits is supposed to be!

Too bad the story wasn't as engaging as the credits then I suppose emoji

So were you good, bad, or did you play it twice? (I doubt you'd play it twice, and it's barely worthwhile).

inFamous 1 is not worth playing on the other Karma unless you really like it and want a reason to play it again. inFamous 2 gives you a little incentive to replay it though.

Ha, well. The credits kind redeemed the game. No bad aftertaste, I just remember really enjoying the credits in the end. I might sound weird, but I love credits. They give a sense of fullfillment. Always dissapoints me when they re-use music you've heard so many times before during the game. I want something new and appreciate the people that brought this game to my hands!

I did the Paragon path. Great ending! (looked the bad ending up on YouTube, meh). And Reggie, I miss him.

I'm probably doing the good Karma version with Cole. Since that one is canon. emoji

It's also more well written into the first game.

Second Son Spoilery:

I found Reggie to be the most realistic and interesting character, myself. I was disappointed to see so little of him up until his (fairly predictable) death.

Yeah, I agree! Reggie and Augustine were probably my favorite characters and the people that were my drive to continue playing.

I didn't expect he would die. I guess they wanted the player to develope more hate against Augustine, make it more personal. But instead I thought: ''Well, Augustine. It's up to you to keep this game interesting then!''

It's a shame Fetch wasn't that interesting either, while she's great in First Light!

Yeah, people commonly say that like EVERYTHING in Australia is trying to kill you. And I'll be honest - I'm kinda afraid of big spiders, and Australia has Black Widow spiders, and maybe other kinds of big spiders. So, nope. I'm fine here.

I wonder what Sucker Punch is doing right now. I'm kinda hoping for a Sly Cooper The Movie The Game. emoji

Is it safe to say that the British made a huge mistake by colonizing Australia? That land's got strong natural forces.
