Sujet : ACiT Plot Hole Thread

I can see why you'd thnk that, but the fact that UYA's climax has Nefarious sarcastically accepting his defeat while Ratchet struggles with his heroic shpeech kinda contradicts your point.

Yeah, R&C has its moments! emoji
But I believe we had a similar discussion about Tomb Raider and Uncharted. I love the humor in Ratchet & Clank and usually they actually make me laugh, but I'd never judge ACiT for not being as funny as some of the earlier games. That dramatic ending for ACiT will always stand closer to me than Nefarious sarcasm.

Ah, ACiT's ending… ACiT's fu**ed up ending… I'm sorry for my language, but this is the best word to describe it - fu**ed up! And I'm not even talking about time travel logic. It's that all throughout the game we get reminded that "time cannot be changed", "past stays where it is", blah, blah, blah… It's a kind of ACiT's message - a lot of bad things happened in the past. But the past stays where it is and we have to move on… Unless the protagonist dies - when that happens, you actually can change the past (because it was six minutes earlier, but they could come up with any other stupid reason). What a load of bulls**t! That 'happy ending' is a slap in a face in my opinion. If they really wanted to be dramatic, they should've kept Ratchet dead, making Clank experience the same thing as Azimuth, but realizing he's got to live with it. That would actually be a good ending… But no, they're screwing up the message and they're not really dramatic either - what a great ending, don't you think?

Somehow I think that is Sony's fault.
In my very twisted vision of reality, IG wanted to kill Ratchet off and make ACiT the last game in the series, but Sony just wanted more money from the franchise forcing tthem to shoehorn that ending in the game.
That would also explain why every R&C game now is made by the North Carolina studio.

I always thought it was IG that wanted to keep making these games… But that doesn't explain how did they allow FFA to pass, so it might be SONY's fault…

ACiT is one of my favorite endings. Orvus' speech being continued, Ratchet and Clank stay together, Alister's beatifull sacrifise. I loved it.. correction love it.

I would've liked it too… If not Ratchet's non-death. I'm sorry, but it's just too cheap!

I simply love the '6 minutes' concept. It was a line given to you much earlier in the game, leaving you to speculate about it. And executed very nicely in the end.

It's no use. I'll keep saying how much I hate fake deaths, you'll keep saying how brilliant it was (when it wasn't emoji ). In my it is not brilliant - it shows how desperate TJ was to throw at us a 'shocking' and 'dramatic' twist… kinda like Sanzaru did with Penelope in TiT. The reason I hate it so much is that (I'll say it again) it destroys the 'you can't change the past' message. Also, death is a drama, mostly because you can change the fact someone's dead. And non-deaths, like ACiT's or Uncharted 3's I just take as (as I said before) a slap in a face ("Ha ha, he's still alive, happy April's Fools"emoji.

I assume that if Ratchet lost his keys in space it would be just as good.

Where's the thumbs up button?

Compared to the actual ending? Now that would make me sad.

WAIT!
No one uses cars in the R&C Universe. Plot-hole or has Qwark been misusing the Clock?

I suppose it's… (we all know what's coming)

ONE OF NATURE'S MYSTERIES!

Hovercars might have keyholes.
