I can see why you'd thnk that, but the fact that UYA's climax has Nefarious sarcastically accepting his defeat while Ratchet struggles with his heroic shpeech kinda contradicts your point.
Yeah, R&C has its moments!
But I believe we had a similar discussion about Tomb Raider and Uncharted. I love the humor in Ratchet & Clank and usually they actually make me laugh, but I'd never judge ACiT for not being as funny as some of the earlier games. That dramatic ending for ACiT will always stand closer to me than Nefarious sarcasm.

). In my it is not brilliant - it shows how desperate TJ was to throw at us a 'shocking' and 'dramatic' twist… kinda like Sanzaru did with Penelope in TiT. The reason I hate it so much is that (I'll say it again) it destroys the 'you can't change the past' message. Also, death is a drama, mostly because you can change the fact someone's dead. And non-deaths, like ACiT's or Uncharted 3's I just take as (as I said before) a slap in a face ("Ha ha, he's still alive, happy April's Fools"
.
