You added Under the Dome I watch that too, its very good, it was only supposed to be one season but due to the huge success they renewed it for a second, and Stephen King (the writer of the book Under the Dome) is going to write the first episode of season 2

It entirely depends on your own taste, im always told I have really really strange taste in movies and TV shows so im not the best person to ask :P

What shows do you like already?

Teen Wolf seemed like another 'wanna-be Twilight'. I used to really like that stuff, but now I can't enjoy them very much anymore.

Teen Wolf is definetely its own thing, not even a hint of Twilight in it I hated Twilight :P
At first Teen Wolf was hated because it was different to what people were used to from Twilight, but when they hit season 3 it really got a huge fanbase, they even ordered a double length season due to the sudden success it was also just recently renewed for season 4

The Vampire Diaries is the Twilight wanabe imo, in the beginning it was its own thing as well but now its just awful, it might as well be Twilight the series now. I am enjoying the spin-off though, called the The Originals, mainly because its totally different to The Vampire Diaries, it has a very good cast as well.

Its feel like Twilight, but with more Wolves. Twiligt wanna-be's are movies and shows that are looking for the succes for Twilight to me. Like Beatifull Creatures, Warm Bodies and even The Host. Which was ruined because of the Twilight counterpart.

I'll give it a chance sometime, but I feel like it will be a Twilight-Buffy-Vamp Diaries mix.

I dont think its fair to judge another series or movie based on another series or movie though, I try not to do it myself, Teen Wolf is a remake of a movie that came out long before Twilight anyway :P While im getting sick of all these remakes, there is the odd good one The Tomorrow People being another example. How do I explain… Twilight set the tone for a new age. Relationships with fantasy creatures like vampires, werewolves etc. It had been done before like Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But because of the succes of the Twilight books someone picked it up and decided to make a profit out of movies. Which became a huge succes and obviously others wanted that too. They digged up The Hunger Games, Warm Bodies, Beaufifull Creates. Anything and everything close to Twilight. It seemed like fun to me since I'm a Twihard myself, so didn't mind at all. Until they decided to make a movie out of my favorite book The Host. They made it a Twilight and the movie and the book became two different things that weren't alike at all. It screwed up the entire scifi aspect and made it another wanna-be Twilight. So after The Host I lost my fate in them.

I see what you mean, I dont read books at all so ive never been disappointed by a book made into a movie (unless the movie was just bad anyway), seems what you are talking about is happening a lot these days, just from what other people are saying.

Stephen King recently made an interesting point about that sort of thing though, he pointed out that books and movies are two entirely different mediums, and shouldnt be compared to one another.
I think his exact words were something like this: "the movie didnt change the book, the book is still there, on the bookshelf, for you to read and enjoy at any time".

That very very true. But with The Host, it was an impossible book-to-movie. It wasn't because it couldn't get the book right and some scenes were missing etc. With this one the entire book was missing. Not just a few scenes, but all of the key scenes and the ones that were there were altered. And all that to make it from a scifi aspect to another 'Twilight wanna-be'

Im watching season 3 of Fringe right now. Season 3-4 I'v seen criss-cross since they i never advertised it when it broadcasted again. The 5th season hasen't even made it to the Dutch television. Finally got my hands on the 3-5 and I'm confused as heck since it has been some time since I've seen 1 and 2
