I just had a power outage today and I think it crashed my computer.

EDIT: My computer is fine. It just said that it was repairing corrupted files after being shut down improperly.

If you think having one is bad… I live out in the cuntry, and we get power cuts all the time. From about December to Feburary we must have had about 10, and then from then on there have beeen not many at all? Its weird when we got this long WITHOUT one 
Well where I live, power outages are pretty rare. I usually lose power only about once every 5 years. 
And when I do lose power, it's usaully because the power company is working on the lines in my area.

I sometimes get power outages just like Ratchetruler, just the place that I live, Abbotsford, BC get a bit of bad weather, especially between late October through mid January. But sometimes it does not take the electrical workers that long to fix the power back.

our power people dont give much attention to where we live, thats why we dont get it fixed for ages but it is a fun challenge to see what to do withou Computer, TV or Playstation

I guess that explains why you also don't have high-speed internet.
Down here in florida we get power outages during and after a hurricane for a couple of days… And those days in the summer are burning hot outside 
I don't think I have ever experienced a power outage that lasted any longer than 4 or 5 hours. I couldn't imagine having no electricity for days or weeks. I would be bored out of my mind if the power was out for that long.
Cant recall having a powercut in a while. Been pretty lucky, I guess…
We had one that lasted 12 hours in my area not too long ago. My friend was sleeping over so rather than shooting tediz we just talked and laughed all night and fell asleep on beanbag chairs. XD
I have more connection issues due to maintenance, and murky water due to switching pipes then power outages, think it only happend once in a major lightning storm.

Yes mostly since we live on the German border
