Thread: The most threatning R&C villain?

Deleted user

Something to discuss the villains of the Ratchet & Clank series emoji (May contain spoilers to those who haven't played all the games!)

We have seen a lot of villains come and go, some get wiped out before they even get a chance to strike again, like Gleeman Vox, Drek and more alike, while a few are 'lucky' enough to survive, like Dr Nefarious, Ace, the Thug leader and maybe more…

So who do you think was the most evil, threatening or menacing of them all, so far? I think I've decided but I'll let you guys post first :oui:

well, in ACIT, the entire universe was at threat. Biggest stakes. but in Secret Agent Clank,

Klunk

seemed to have slightly more foolproof plans.

I'd say Tachyon, Even though he's small and….not very threatening to look at…

he's the one responsible for ratchet losing his parents and wiping out the lombaxes (or making them retreat to the Lombax dimention)

and thats pretty damn evil in my opinion

Oh yeah for sure, CiT had the most serious problems so far in the series though I personally dont see…

Alister Azimuth

As a real villain though, he was just a bit deranged and desperate to change the past, for the better of his race. Not even thinking much of the consequences to his actions.

But yeah, even though almost all the villains so far have a 'funny' side to them, I always thought Chairmen Drek was one of the most evil ones, destroying many planets (most likely billions of lives too in the process) just for his new planet, for financial gain. And even betraying his own kind too, just for that.

Though the games are all portrayed in a comical and not-too-serious way (besides the later titles), so it's not that easy to take them too seriously, but it is an interesting thought though emoji

Oh yeah, I also think Tachyon is pretty evil too, probably as a close second to me but he didn't wipe out many planets and destroy as many lives as the Blarg did (I dont think) but I think that link he has with the lombaxes and Ratchet's parents especially, makes him very menacing to Ratchet.

Probably one of the most evil R&C villains is…Cassiopeia.

Why?

Think about it. She continually insulted Ratchet and called him a "space rat" during his stay at Vapedia. She proceeds to kill Clank, and despite the fact that the plan didn't call for it, she continues to do it anyway. Before Ratchet battles her, she brags about the fact that Clank was going to leave him to take care of the Clock, and during the battle, she goes on a rant about "how pathetic" Ratchet's parents were to be "killed by a little runt".

Ouch.

Yep, some villains get wiped out, like Gleeman Vox, Chairman Drek, and Emperor Tachyon, among many more, while a few survived, like Dr. Nefarious, the Thug Leader, Klunk, Ace Hardlight, Otto Destruct, Captian Slag and Rusty Pete, among many more. For the most evil villain, I going to go with either Drek or Gleeman Vox, reasons: Drek destryoed planets just for money, killed many people in the process, betryaed his kind, attempted to destroy Veldin, and forced people to do his work. Now, in my opinion, thats pretty darn evil, the other tied with Drek is Gleeman Vox, he himself killed many heroes by blowing their heads off, captured and forced heroes to fight, and showed the bloody deaths to children watching TV, attempted to kill everyone in DreadZone, among other things. I think its safe to say we have a tie between Drek and Vox, but if I would have to choose one, i'd have to go with Vox.

Oh yeah, Gleeman Vox is a pretty nasty bugger as well… responsible for the deaths of many superheroes, though his Exterminators did the dirty work of course. But yeah, he is also disturbing in how he markets most of his products towards children o.O

But yeah, I guess I still have to say Drek was one of the most evil ones so far, Nefarious on the other hand… even though his Great Clock control could have threatened the whole universe, he still isn't really that easy to take seriously, and isn't really that dark compared with the other villians.
But of course he can kick your butt (or even kick the bucket for you) if he gets the chance emoji

In my opinion, I say Drek is the most threatening Ratchet and Clank villain in the series. I would have pretty much said the same thing as Neffy said for why he's the most threatening. He destroys planets to make his own planet for his kind… and for money. Ka-ching! emoji

Runner up would go to Tachyon just because of what he did to Ratchet's kind was something that felt unique and completely different from any other Ratchet and Clank game. Tachyon's actions was quite personal to Ratchet only rather than an universal attack such as the other villains in the series.

Hmmm it's hard to decide but you have to admit Gleeman Vox was very threatning, kidnapped so many heroes, many were killed by his exterminators or collars, all just for high ratings and cash… So he can buy more 'special Blarg videos' from Orxon emoji lol but he was quite crazy.

Hey, that's fanon XD (his fetish, lol)

But yeah he is a nasty bugger. And you know, even Ace is pretty evil during those times. He almost killed one of Ratchet's good friends, even hurt Ratchet and went on about how he killed the other heroes for fun. And he even did that classic 'Evil laugh gesture' after beating Starshield (You know, that Dr Cortex, Nefarious and other villains do XD)

And the least evil villain I think is Otto Destruct. I mean seriously… what was he trying to achieve? Making an army of tiny Ratchet clones? What the fudge? (I don't remember the full plot though, since I didn't like that game much to be honest…emoji even Luna was more sinister than him from what I remember emoji

Let's just say that Otto's plan was generic. emoji I may have not played Size Matters, but what I remember from watching the cutscenes on youtube that he made some Ratchet Clones and…

got his brain swapped with Skrunch the Monkey.

I would agree with Lightspeed that Vox was a pretty threatening villain too. He would probably fit in 3rd place for my top threatening villains in R&C. He might of killed heroes for money and entertaining purposes, but his sinister scheme only effected a big group of citizens rather than the entire galaxy like Drek tried to accomplish in the first game.

Well obviously it had to be Neffy.

Well obviously it had to be Neffy.

How is that possible? I love Neffy too, but there's a reason we call him Neffy (Although it was pretty satisfying when he began acknowledging Ratchet as a threat).

I vote for Qwark in GC.

Qwark? He was an idiot lol and in no way at all felt like a threat to me.
