Thread: Movies and TV Specials You Would Watch on Christmas

Deleted user

Well since Christmas is coming by, I thought it would be a good idea to make some topics about this special holiday.

We see a lot of films and TV specials on TV that relates to Christmas. Which movies or special programs would you watch during this Holiday Season?

I'm mostly watch movies or specials that I know quite well or have been watching for a long time. Here are my recommendations.

- A Mickey's Christmas Carol
- A Muppets Christmas Carol
- All of the South Park Christmas Episodes
- CRAZY
(a French Canadian film that has a lot of things related to Christmas)
- Blackadder's Christmas
- Die Hard (it has Christmas stuff in it)
- Home Alone
- How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the cartoon, not the film)
- Twas The Night Before Bumpy

That's all I can think of at this moment.

I would watch Mickey's Christmas Carol and Home Alone too, and also I would watch the original Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Frosty the Snowman TV movies. And also Elf, The Polar Express and It's A Wonderful Life (I always watch that movie every Christmas Eve).

I used to watch the Rankin/Bass Production Specials like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer or Frosty the Snowman as a child, but I tend to avoid those holiday films these days since they have been overplayed on television on so many channels.

I think the most underrated Rankin Bass Christmas special that I quite like is the Little Drummer Boy. It is quite dark in some segments, but in the end it kind of has a good message throughout the story.

A Mickey's Christmas Carol is my all time favourite holiday special to watch every Christmas.
