Actually, it is more like..navigation of the site in general I am having problems with. I have never been on a site like this before, so…I am a bit lost…
I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean. Is navigating the sub-forums and the like what's confusing you?

Yes it is. Well, a big part of site is a forum. You discuss here about the Ratchet & Clank related things (or not R&C related). You can see the list of latest posts with autor and thread name at the top of a page, but if you want to see a longer list, or explore all the threads (even abandoned ones) just click the "Forum" button (the one with Zoni next to it). As for the icons on the left side of a page:
- PS3, PS2 and Other Games (three first): Shows you a list of a games from a certain category. On a game's site you can find info about the game, weapons, characters etc. Also there's a "Medias" icon on the game's sites, wich include links for screenshots, artworks, soundtracks and, well… media 
- Multimedia: It includes the info pages for Comic books and movie. Other than that it's mostly the same "media" you can access from the game's page (except "Lombax Translator", "PS Themes" and "Other).
- Community: Here you can find some community (mostly useless) features.
Also, at the start page there are news about lates games and events. The site also allows to post fanfictions, fanart and edit a "Gamer profile" and some other features people don't use anyway so I won't be talking about them.

Access "My Fanfics" (It's under "My Profile" at the top) and there choose "Create a Fanfiction". You'll have to write it's title, description, choose logo and category (the first one eventually), write a prologue and then add a first chapter.
