Thread: Can't get over it

I just joined recently but I would like to discuss this. Most of the plots to the r and c games were spoiled to me before I played them, but when I found out about the lombax backstory, about how they fled to another dimension, I was very disappointed. Maube this gets to me because insomniac just lets them be where they are when the whole idea of fleeing to another dimension seems like a thing for temporary refuge until for example tachyon was defeated, which leaves kind of a plot hole in the later games and the fact that at the end of into the nexus they seem to abandon the lombax sorry line altogether. Basically I can't get over how the series is ignoring this and just want to see some closure.

You're not the only one. I, for one, had hoped that Nexus would tackle that plot. But as we all know, it didn't really. I assumed it served as a bridge, but then the re-imagening came along and I don't know what to expect from the future.

For now, nobody has a clue whether the mystery will be solved any time soon.

That is why I came up with a theoretical plot for another story, I might want to write it down but have not yet. My idea for it would include the return of the lombaxes as I believe the original purpose of their evacuation was only temporary. with their technological skills and the universe's admiration for them would ensure that fastoon could be restored to a habitable state. Even if ratchet had no more interest in contacting them, it wouldn't matter as they would come back anyways.

So basically it might be up to the individual player's decision, right?

"Insomniac Games also responded to the fans afraid that Future saga storyline will end with “Nexus” – starting the story over with the movie does not mean they’ll leave the original series, and “Nexus” might still get a sequel in the future."

Eh, who knows, it almost seems like they are resorting the series with this movie and game, but I might be wrong.
