I know we could of talk about this in the music thread, but I wanted to make a topic about video game soundtracks and music as its own thread. Since many of us have played video games, we can all talk about the great music that we have listened to while playing their games.

So let's discuss anything that is related to music scores and soundtracks from video games. Mention any video game you want that in your opinion had the best music or overall soundtrack.

I really like the soundtrack from Half-Life 2: Episode 2. In HL2 and HL2: EP1, the soundtrack was more electronic and depressing but in EP2 it became more like an electronic/rock cross and was more lively than the previous games. I thought it sounded really good. Here's my fav song from it:

Another game I think had a good soundtrack was the Halo series, I liked the use of an Orchestra and vocalists in it to really capture the action and emotion throughout the games. I especially love the main theme song:

I also enjoy the TOD and ACIT soundtracks.

Hmm I need to think back and try to remember what soundtracks I like from games emoji to be honest, I dont play too many games these days anymore. But I do remember liking some music from them…

I'm pretty much open when it comes to video game soundtracks. It can either be a few songs from one game or all the songs from the overall soundtrack of a particular game title.

The soundtrack to Beyond Good and Evil in my opinion was a pure masterpiece. It had variety of music styles, it sounded pretty original and there were some tracks that felt very heart-warming overall. Sure this game did not sell well when it was released, but the game had an amazing soundtrack.

I could name all of them, but that will take forever to do.

Another overall soundtrack I liked was Kingdom Hearts. Sure some songs felt annoying but it did capture the Disney vibe very nicely, especially ones that were heard from Disney animated films. But I appreciated the intense, orchestral epic scores a lot more than the action packed Disney-esque quirky vibe.

Wow that's quite a lot of songs there XD I didn't know any of them besides Rock Solid (Which I liked as too too from Conker, lol)

I'm still trying to think of other music I liked from games, but it's kinda hard for me to think back right now… haven't been playing much besides Crack in Time lately (which has a good soundtrack too, mind)

I'm pretty open to know what music I like to listen to. I also enjoy so many game soundtrack and scores because I love the instrumental components of music in general and game scores are one of them. So that's why I like them so much.

A Crack in Time had a really epic soundtrack, but I don't know if I would call the overall soundtrack the strongest one yet in the R&C series. I thought some of the songs in the game weren't as original and memorable as the other music tracks from other Ratchet and Clank games. Although, I did enjoy most of the songs with it's smoothing, epic and quite nostalgia vibe. But… there's something about the soundtrack that didn't felt that strong. I cannot quite put my finger on it at this point.

I thought Up Your Arsenal had the most memorable soundtrack in the R&C games yet. Although I'm probably saying that because it was one of the first Ratchet and Clank games that I've ever played.

Tools of Destruction had a pretty good soundtrack too. There were some music tracks that I really liked in the game, especially any tracks that were heard when you activate the Groovitron. I thought the Groovitron music in TOD was pretty charming and more memorable than the Groovitron music in ACIT.

It's definitely one of the most memorable tracks in ACIT, especially how the music starts off. Usually I don't really listen to the Polaris Classical while flying around in the space sectors. I either have my radio on Deep Space Jams or Pirate Radio just because of the variety on those stations.

But no matter what, the Polaris Classical is overall pretty epic.

Hearing the songs from that make me very nostalgic for the old N64 games

Goldeneye was your first game? Wow! That makes me feel old. The first game that I ever owned was the original Super Mario Bros. for the NES.

The only soundtrack from a video game that I like the most is the Ratchet and Clank series soundtracks.Very epic!Especially Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal!Very serious and epic soundtracks!

Although I also enjoy other soundtracks,such as the Jak and Daxter soundtracks. :oui: emoji

I liked most of the songs from the Sims 2 soundtrack. The expansions had pretty good tracks too, but they were mostly remakes of the basegame's tracks.

Other than that, I like most radio-station based soundtracks.
