Insomniac Games Reveals Planet Gaspar Gameplay!

Yesterday, a short while before Sony's 2015 E3 press conference, Insomniac Games revealed gameplay of Planet Gaspar!

The planet's design is very reminiscent of the original Gaspar, and has a few nods to Rykan V. There are two portions to the level: the main path, and a grind rail which leads Ratchet and Clank to a Telepathopus hideout. There, they meet a blarg scientist who requests Telepathopus brains in exchange for a jet pack and Infobot.

The level is very similar to planet Thram in structure, and gameplay. Throughout the level, Ratchet uses his Warmonger, Mr. Zurkon, Pixelizor, Groovitron, and his upgraded "MagmaBuster." He even collects raretainium from a few enemies…all while Qwark is narrating in the background. There is also a new weapon on the wheel, but unfortunately, it was never used.

Clank's Jetpack is pretty much the same as Into The Nexus, but with a few added movements to give off a sense of fluidity. Almost all enemies from the level are returning baddies from the 1st game: sandsharks, robo chompers, Blarg minions, mutant crabs, killer frogs, Paratroopers, and alien Snappers.
It seems Insomniac Games wanted to give Gaspar a bigger role in the game, as opposed to RaC 1's Gaspar, which was only a short, one-time visit for 15 minutes. Given the mere 6 1/2 minutes we've seen so far, I say they've succeeded.

I just feel they need to fix the movement during the dialogue.

I think it will stay. This dialogue doesn't really cry for super animation. It still looks better than Ratchet's conversations with the Smuggler in ItN.

Thanks Animovie! You don't owe me June 15 anymore! I wonder what happened to you Kubak. Are you gonna post any news? Just asking…

The school made me unable to write them dialy in the past few months, so Animovie took over the job. I might continue writing news in summer though emoji

Kubak's been writing rumors from his own research (rumors that sadly came true…)

It's great to see familiar levels expanded like this. The not so evil evil scientist and the whole Telepathopus brains stuff is hilarious. emoji
I agree with Animovie, the only thing I can complain about is the animation during the dialogue… It seems too stiff and the scientist is constantly rubbing his hands that are overlapping over each other, which is a bit distracting… Anyways, if this is the final product, I can live with it.
Also, the jetpack's fuel seems to last longer and the way Ratchet's ears move while airborne is really nice.

(This is a really late comment… better late than never)
