During the much-anticipated PlayStation Experience, Ratchet and Clank got a new gameplay trailer, and a release date for the ps4 game: April 12, 2016!
The game starts with a scene from the movie, where Ratchet discovers a crashed shuttle, and rescues a tiny robot from the wreckage. He names the robot "Clank," and their adventure begins here!
The opening shot of Veldin is quite gorgeous: filled with bolt crates, heliogrubs, robots, and The Blarg! Qwark narrates throughout the gameplay, and mentions how the blarg were instrumental in the lombax's extinction–but don't worry, that line was scrapped, as one Insomniac explained.
The aiming system from the Ps2 games has returned! Now Ratchet can lock onto enemies quicker, and more precisely. Nanotech upgrades have also returned, with the same functionality as Into the Nexus. Ratchet and Clank run into a "Dropship of doom," and chase the blarg out of their home! It is here that Ratchet meets Grimroth, and takes Clank in to repair him.
As Ratchet fixes Clank's leg, Clank warns Ratchet of an evil plot being devised by Chairman Drek. Ratchet says he can help–after all, he's friends with the Rangers…sort of. Clank asks him why he wasn't in any of the pictures (even though he was in one), and Ratchet shows him his ship. One of the pictures shows a 7-year-old Ratchet with a gap tooth standing next to some Galactic Rangers!
Together, they will team up with Qwark to destroy Chairman Drek!
But enough about Veldin, what other levels will be shown? Judging by the image below, it looks like Kerwan and Pokitaru will be shown too, with some new cutscenes from the latter. An instagram post shows Ratchet fighting off a telepathopus with a new weapon called "The Proton Drum!"
Want to watch a semi-cool interview with Ted Price? Here it is!
Ratchet himself also encourages us to #GiveActually to Starlight Children's Foundations in an instagram post!

Alas, poor heliogrubs–you will be remembered…
I love seeing the movie clips. it makes me more excited
This is getting me even more hyped and excited than I already am. I have high expectations for this game after all the amazing cinematics and gameplay footage I have seen and I'm 100% that IG will deliver
This new gameplay had me laughing so hard my stomach ached XD I cannot wait any longer
Also, I absolutely LOVE how Qwark is narrating the adventure. Such a great addition to the game in my opinion
Animovie… Stop inverting these pics for no reason! What is the point of that, leave them the way they actually are in the movie.
Qwark? You do know that the Blargs did nothing to the Lombaxes?

It's not really a big deal.
I mean, there's no real need for it, but it's not like it's doing any harm either.
At least the filter helps the movie look a bit closer to the game.

I'm not sure why the line existed in the first place…maybe TJ Fixman had a different plan for the story…

Please keep in mind that this was something Qwark said. Now , even if this wasn't removedfrom the final build how can we trust Qwark. After all it has been stated that his take of the story, that the game has, is kind of different from the true story.
