OH NO! He/she vandalized my fiction… he made it perverted and pointless and… GR. HE HAS to be on this site. This is the only site my fanart goes to! He made everyone some kind of gross person in my fic and did SO many perverted things to my pictures! HE EARASED MY WATERMARK AND SIG! I NEED BACKUP! WHERE IS HE? I WILL HUNT THIS F*$#ER DOWN!

Heeey, try not to worry so much. I've had lots of my work taken before, and even used as an iPhone app logo :O Just find the people who took it and kindly ask them if they would remove it/ask for permission first. But don't get really angry at them.

It's really not a nice thing though Come to think of it… I REALLY need to make a custom watermark for my work XD

Whelp, I found someone on dA who stole my art today, this person: http://dragoon00000.deviantart.com/ but I'm glad I'm well known enough in the R&C community on dA that all it took was one journal entry for the entire community to turn on them, lol

I'm now awaiting the pic they stole to be taken down and whatever the punishment for art theft is on dA to be dealt, lol

My goodness, do I hate internet thieves who steal work that is not theirs. They're more obnoxious than some jack*** barking at people while driving his van/car.

But anyways, I'm sure DragooNoo's account will get suspended pretty soon, especially when your style is well known on DA.

If someone did that to me, I'd just silently report them and the artwork. I'm not really the type to go make a big journal about things like that but… yeah that's just me. (I've had my art 'stolen' many times. Even had several fake accounts made of me when I wasnt on DA) I still sometimes see pictures traced off my older Crash art too.

I just got far too disturbed when i found out that the person who stole my art vandalized it and made it PORN material. HONESTLY? He also earased my watermarks and signatures!!! WT*!!! I wouldnt have flipped out as much if he didnt turn it into junk like that. He also made my fanfic nothing but DIRTY (you know what i mean by that) junk- FOR NO REASON!!!

It seems like no one here likes stealing and I just made a big deal of it because of what he DID to my work… made my characters naked and such- EVEN THE CHARACATURE OF ME- HE MADE IT NUDE!!! I WAS SOOOO GROSSED OUT IM NOT LYING! its pretty sad some people have nothing better to do than make little 11 year olds cry by turning their hard work into porn.

It's not just you that it's happened to ya know, it's happened to many people. They get their artwork stolen by creeps, just as I do. I can't believe he made your're pictures nude, though, whoever did that must've photoshopped it or something. Who wouldn't be grossed out by what he did, anyone who screws up someones work is gross - or were you grossed out by the fact he made your characters naked XD, which was actually pretty funny.

Markings; defined as etches, watermarks (both real and digital), trademarks, signatures, and symbols that have been used by one particular person, group, or manufacturer to make sure their stuff isn't copied straight and you'd know that it's genuine. In RevanAC's case, it was the primo "RevanAC" on his artwork. Many companies do this however, such as Surefire flashlights (they put marks on their stuff), Chinese manufacturers make clones that look almost exactly the same thing.

To be honest, I wasn't really paying attention to this thread, until I saw when his work was stolen.

I know how it feels to have my art and photos stolen over the internet, even my usernames. Yes, at one moment you're all like "WTF HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN TO ME WTF?!". But, there's always a proper course of action that can take it down, and I'm sorry that your artwork was stolen as well.

It's really a same that it happens, but you wouldn't imagine how smart felt when their ForTwo was copied by some Chinese manufacturer. I'm currently finding someone who's willing to put a watermark on my stuff so that way nobody can log onto a forum and say "Look what I got! I've been owning this thing forever and it's my work!" Sorry for not being clear enough, I thought it was.
