Thread: Which R&C Character Are You Mostly Like?

Which character (or characters) are you quite like in the Ratchet and Clank universe?

Now before you post your answers, make sure you have a good explanation of why you are like that character, unless if there was a moment in the game that made the character quite identical to your personality/trait.

For example,

"I am like Nefarious because I am wicked, spoiled, and I yell like a maniac." This would be a good example to explain why you are like that character.

Bad example would be…

" I am like Ratchet because I like Lombaxes and Ratchet is my favourite character".

Well it seems I've explained briefly enough, so let's begin.

I'll start off with some characters I act the most.

1. Big Al. I don't act like him 100%, but in some places I do. I get quite annoyed when people don't say "thank you" when I do tasks for people, even though I don't sound obnoxious when I say "you're welcome".

2. Lawrence. I think I mostly act like this character. I pretty much do chores and many favors for people at home or with my friends. People would push me around and I don't really take their talk these days. I am quite a sarcastic person just like him, who likes to look proper when I am in public (in important places). Unfortunately, I cannot play a guitar.

3. Clank. Now I am not just putting him here as my favorite character on this list. There is one moment in Ratchet and Clank that I am kind of like the character. When I take transportation from one place to another, I seem to be the one that takes the comfort seat at front, just like Clank.

4. Sigmund. I think I can be pretty close to Sigmund's personality. I am a fanatic about Cartoons, I cannot really defend myself pretty well but at least I try my best, and can act a little silly like him once in a while.

This is all I can think of right now, but I am sure there could be more.

Well since I have nothing better to do to make me feel better I might as well post a comment here.

here's my list of characters I partly/mostly act like

1. Sigmund - The reason I put him on my top list is because I act like him the most and here's why
first of all I love cartoons I loved them ever since I was small and growing up I learned that no matter how old I am I will always be a child by heart and soul no matter what people say/think or how much people beg me to grow up (I had that once on youtube I just gave him some smart mouth and blocked him after that)
I have my moments where I act a bit childish but most of the time I'm sweet, kind, and caring as I think about my family and friends before myself I also have moments where I get jumpy when I get paranoid/scared for example when I saw a spider in the bathroom (thoese things always creep me out the bigger they are for more I feel I'm gonna jump out of my skin with fright ) I may not be a workaholic as he is but I do my share of active things like clean the dishes, empty the bins, etc. although I don't know how to kung fu so I'm not much of a fighter myself but I do try my best to defend myself if needed but sadly when it comes to science I'm not as smart as he is as science is not my strong point ^^;

2. Orvus - The only thing I could think of is that I'm easily ammused to laugh at any jokes good or bad (mostly good jokes thankfully) I'm a fun loving person most of the time but I have moments where I had to be serious on things.

3. Ratchet - I may not be a mechanic but for some reason I like to put things together like jigsaw pieces, plugging wires to a tvs/dvds/consoles/PCs/etc, replaceing batteries even when I use my small screwdriver, and pieces of a toy from kinder suprise (havn't had one of thoese in years though) but I have moments where I get stubborn when it comes to disagreements and either I just don't want to admit that I'm wrong or someone just don't want to listen to me so I get stubborn until I get them to listen.

4. Dr.N - This is one part of me I do not enjoy but I feel like I'm cursed with it growing up I'm mostly nice to people but when there's something more then a disagreement let's say someone is pushing me around trying to tell me what to do when that happend I snap at them in defence however when something majorly goes worng like someone starting a fight with me when I lose my temper I REALLY lose it

Ratchet - I am good at fixing/repairing various things. When I get angry, there is no stopping me.

Lawrence - When it comes to my sister, I am like her butler. I am also very sarcastic at times.

Qwark - I can sometimes be TOO into myself or conceited.

Al - I can be a real nerd when it comes to some things.

Clank - I can be a real genius at times. There are times when I think things through and consider the consequences.

I believe there are times where we can act like Captain Qwark once in a while. So that might be normal for some of us. I can be a bit conceited at times, but I've seen others that are worse.

I forgot to mention this before, but I think most people can relate to Ratchet. Sure he can fix things with his mechanical hobbies, but what about him in hero perspective? Everyone makes complete successes and struggles through life for certain situations we all go through, just like our Lombax hero we all like or even adore. I know that may sound a bit sappy, but when you can think of it that way, you quite realize why so many fans like Ratchet so much.

This one is going to be very different to everyone else but I'd say I'm more like Courtney Gears. I can act very sexual around males and people annoy me [squishies :P] I also love to dance! [can't sing though] I also love villains [just like she is associated with Dr Nefarious.

I also have some Qwark traits, like sometimes heaps into myself like someone said before.

Ratchet because I love lombaxes and he is my fave character…JUST KIDDING XD just the same as Tipsy said pretty much.

And Clank because I love to solve problems and use logic in difficult times.

I am simmilar in the way I threten people (and NEVER serious… Dunno 'bout Nefarious on that one though ) When I'm serious you know, when I'm not being serious im being wierd (In a funny way most the time) And I often go as OTT as Nefarious does I'm also pretty damn evil! (though I don't make others ever feel bad… So I'm not too good at the evil thing… But I annoy people, and that is enough

I couldn't put these into any kind of order, but:

Nefarious - I often yell to people when I get mad at something, but I try to avoid being more Nefarious-like as I can be really annoying when I get to it.

Ratchet - I use my hands and facial expressions at least as much as Ratchet does while explaining something. I also fix a lot of things myself. Best example is that I engineered our old lawnmower (to be precise, I moved its engine) into a small four-wheel car-like thingy which I had built myself of some metal sheets and such that were left over of something - only problem it had was it was awfully loud due to its air-cooled two-stroke 3 HP engine which was too weak to move it faster than jogging speed. And the engine was just behind my ears while "driving" it, so it wasn't that practical.

Clank - sometimes I think too much (although even if I have thought and planned something, I always forget what I thought and have to improvise somewhat like Ratchet does).


On a final note, it seems Nefarious applies a bit to everyone, as everyone has those moments while being angry.

As much as I consider myself Nefarious, I am actually not an angry person… Sure not everyone is perfect, and I can get annoyed at things, but I don't really show my anger, I kinda just try lighten things up

So I suppose I'm like Clank from R&C1 in the way that all I want is to help… Unless you catch me in a Drek mood (rare)
The major problem with me being like Clank (by this I mean the part that makes me really quite different) is that while sometimes I might figure something really complicated and awesome out, then my focus gets lost and I'm back to square one! (Can be really annoying with the logic in LBP2 ) So I'm sorta like Qwark then

I'm like Ratchet FROM A4O cause I'm smart and the Ratchet from A4O is the smartest,m I'm good with children, I know how to fix lots of stuff, I'm obssesed with video-games.

Nefarious cos while I don't have a quick temper, when I do lose it I really lose it. I'm also pretty smart, can be quite sarcastic and unpleasant, go totally OTT at times, refuse to give up and occasionally I get brain freeze

Like Ratchet I like adventuring, fast vehicles, building stuff (I'm a mechanic by trade) and I won't let people get away with stuff if I don't like it.

I got Ratchet in all of them, with Clank and Alister closely behind. Nefarious didn't come so close because of the "Are you an antagonist?" type questions.

In my earlier post I forgot how I also resemble Alister somewhat, as I don't give up easily and if I fail at something it always makes me return to it in my mind. If I really could reverse time… (even though my mistakes haven't been serious like Alister's). Also I value "greater good" over individuals so I don't question "collateral damage" as long as it's for the greater good (in collective matters only, though).

I (And everyone else in my family) says I'm Ratchet. I like video games (Alot!), like working on engines and mechanics (Taking that in school!), I love to go exploring if I'm someplace new, and I deeply care for my friends, whether they drive me up the wall or not.
