I first started reading books in middle-school. The first real book I read was The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by C.S.Lewis, then I went on to read the rest of the Chronicles of Narnia. It's now probably one of my favorite fictional series. Now I'm doing my senior term paper on The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.
Then I went on to read the Percy Jackson series and The Ranger's Apprentice series.
I just finished reading Mere Christianity by C.S.Lewis (who is now my favorite author). It is a good book for both Christians and non Christians alike since he was at one point an athiest and I'm impressed by how he isn't bias in his writings. On my list of books to read by him are The Screwtape Letters, Miracles, the Problem of Pain, A Grief Observed, The Great Divorce, and The Weight of Glory. He was considered one of the highest intellectuals of his time so some of his works you may need to reread. Another book by hime, The Abolition of Man, from what I hear is a very difficult book to understand.
I'm also starting to read books based on apologetics like Who is Jesus…Really? by Josh McDowell.
I would have to say my favorite book that I had to read for school was Frankenstein.
