Thread: Why Do You Like Ratchet and Clank So Much?

Deleted user

I think we had a topic like this before, but unfortunately the Mods had to lock it down due to a certain member that kept going a bit too off topic with the thread. Also not excepting other people's opinions that was different to his opinion.

So let's start over with a new one.

Explain your reason why you guys like Ratchet and Clank in the first place. Is it the characters? the humour? the gameplay? Mention it here in this thread.

Hope to buttery goodness we don't have to lock this thread. emoji

Don't worry, I'll behave emoji
I reckon i like it for the humor. Whether its the dialogue (Good old quark!) or the weapons (gotta love the quack-o-ray!) R&C never fails to get me ROFL!

1: Things blow up. What kind of post pubescent boy wouldn't like it?!
2: It's funny.
3: You get to play as a short furry Lombax that blows things up.
4: It's original. Down from weapons, characters–everything.
5: It's one of the few fantasy games that I actually like.

EDIT: 5 1/2: It provides a character that nobody dresses up as in Halloween. Or at fur cons.

There are alot of reasons why Ratchet and Clank is one of my favorite video game series of all time for me. The things that got me into it in the first place, though, were probably the out of this world state-of-the-art weapons and gadgets, the very likable characters, and it's hilarious sexual humour. It was later the storylines, too, for the Future series. Ratchet and Clank is just so unique in it's own way, wheather your 13 or 20 years old, Ratchet and Clank is YOUR kind of game. Plain and simple. emoji

i like how its so original, the story lines all fit together(except for high impact games attempt at making a game. The awsome vews of the maps at the beggining of each game andddd the weapons and armor

I discovered the game while searching up Jak II :P

i then browsed R&C, watched the vids… etc.

I bought GC and i LOVED it, the blend of all the elements in the game was just fantastic. Not a thing i disliked about it.

So… i bought the other games, and have been playing them ever since. emoji

Glad to have this topic starting fresh and clean emoji

And well there is so much I like about the series… but I'll try making out a list!

1. Awesome Games with fun gameplay
2. Wicked cast of characters, either funny, original, badass, or just plain awesome! (With my favourite being Ace Hardlight of course, hehe XD)
3. A fun storyline that's easy to follow, especially later in the series.
4. Great visuals and design, especially for the planet enviroments and space scenery.
5. And most of all… it's inspiring! Especially for artwork and writing!

And that's it from me emoji

It is awe inspiring, isnt it? I havent seen a story this original in a very long time.

Not to mention the graphics and gameplay. They are just stupendous, especially in the latest ones. You can see them evolve over each game

There's a lot of things that makes Ratchet and Clank such a great franchise to love, but I mostly like it for it's humour and visuals.

Ratchet and Clank is one of those game franchises that have such strong written dialogue in their games and it still keeps that charm today. Even with the voice cast added to the humour and storytelling makes the game experience even more entertaining.

I especially love the animations and designs that Insomniac does for Ratchet and Clank. In my opinion, it feels like you're playing a Saturday morning cartoon, or a Pixar film if you have played the Future Saga trilogy on the PS3.

Usually platforming adventure games usually don't become strong later in years such as Crash Bandicoot, Banjo-Kazooie and Sonic the Hedgehog, but Ratchet and Clank on the other hand is one of the strongest platforming adventures franchises I have played so far. Not as strong as Super Mario though, but close to there.

So you know Insomniac is doing something right when they are keeping some of the same gameplay formula, but bringing some fresh and new ideas to each Ratchet and Clank game.

Uh…I don't know whyemoji.
