Thread: Youtube Account Linking To Google Account

For thoese who have not noticed this yet I have just got this stupid messege about 'no longer using your youtube account without a google account' when I try to watch a video in my subscription list which I think it is totally stupid and what's worse that it ask for your mobile number to tell you stuff and 'help prevent spam' and stuff like that.
But to be honest I rather get spam from youtube rather then google know my Mobile Phone Number as I do not trust them as far as I can throw them and even if I could throw them I still don't trust them.

What's your opinion about this?

I have never had YouTube ask me for a phone number, but everytime I log in, I get that page that tells me to link my YouTube to Google. You should just be able to skip that page, that's what I do.

yeah youtube wouldn't let me skip so I had no choice but to get it cause I wanted to look at profiles and videos but it won't let me look at them at all =/

Now YouTube won't even let me skip the "link to google account" anymore either! (

Yeah, I've pretty much got the same problem too, so I just add a google account anyways. Kind of dumb if you ask me but really, what can you do about that?

When I tried to log in to YouTube today, I got a message that says that my google account still needs email vereification, but I never recieved the email! (

It also wants me to give it a mobile phone number!
