Thread: Are you into RPGs?

RPG as in Role Playing Games of course.

Here's a thread to discuss games that are in the RPG genre. Are you into these kinds of games? If so, what games do you like from this genre?

Well to be honest, I am not a fan of these kind of games. Somehow random battles and turn base strategy gameplay like in the Final Fantasy games has never been my cup of tea in gaming. Maybe Final Fantasy 7 was an acception for the only FF game I've ever played and quite liked, but not as much as many Final Fantasy fans had.

The only games that are RPGs which I'd enjoyed so far are Paper Mario 64 and Super Mario RPG. Somehow I think Mario mixed with this kind of gaming seems to appeal me even more just because there are some unique and even surreal aspects that you wouldn't never see in an normal adventure Mario game.

I'm like that as well. I'm not really into RPGs but the only ones that I like are Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario 64. And I agree of what you said about the Mario RPGs and that's how I like those games

The only RPGs that I have played are Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas.

There's seriously nothing with that at all.

The only RPG games I've played that i can think of are Oblivion, RuneScape, Fallout 3 and Kingdom Hearts.

Oh wow! I've completely forgotten about Kingdom Hearts, even if I see the series more of an action adventure (like Legend of Zelda for example) than a RPG.

the first Kingdom Hearts game is definitely my favourite from the series. I found later game installments of this Square franchise to be entirely confusing in plot or just uninteresting.

Mostly into MMORPG's and Western Action RPG's, like Oblivion, i now mostly play Lord of the Rings online (Deleted my level 34 Hobbit hunter Do'h),Mabinogi (maybe one of The best MMORPG's I've seen and played, and trust me, that is a long list….)
But of course, since Skyrim is comming out, Im starting up Oblivion again (Major error with Morrowind…. )

I like Pokemon alot (from gens 1-3, 4 and 5 annoy me. WHERE ARE THE PORYGONS?) But I recently started playing Super Mario RPG and OH. MY. GOD. Best thing over. How many games have a character that is a cross between Yoda and the nyan cat?! (i'll give you a cookie if you get the ref to one of my fave chars ) Plus the gameplay rocks and so do the characters! (my friend is determined to give Geno termites though. ) back on topic, the Mario RPGs are fun to me. I like the 64 and GC paper mario ALOT, but I CANNOT STAND super paper mario for the wii. Super Mario RPG is definetly my favorite RPG game so far though.

I'm into some RPG games like pokemon,elder scrolls, and any other RPG's that get my interest.

I guess I'll add Chrono Trigger as my list of favourite RPG games only because I've been addicted to that game recently.

I dunno what made me like this game to begin with, but I believe the characters and time travel premise charmed me immediately.
