I know there are a few of us who are fans of this show, which is one reason why I decided to make a topic about it in the first place.

epic show! 
loved this show ever since I first saw it! The characters are brilliant and hilarious, the writing is (in my opinion) better than that of the Simpsons. Some of the references are brilliantly done (like in the episode "love and rocket" in which Bender falls in love with the ships computer (the console of which looks exactly like the HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey, and from there, the references to 2001 just get more and more frequent and outrageous! 
It's such a shame it was cancelled in 2003; but then they brought it back for 4 direct to DVD movies in 2007, and then, last year, they started showing BRAND NEW EPISODES on Comedy Central (which we have yet to receive in the UK…
But yeah, overall, I personally think this is probably the best animated sitcom I've seen! 
I used to watch this show when they still showed it on adult swim all the time

I grew up with The Simpsons (the all powerful super mega popular thing that everyone on earth watches) it use to play all the time, from as far back as i can remember i had been watching The Simpsons! But there was Futurama! Probably the only science fiction comedy thing i had ever seen! (it hardly ever showed, but i saw it enough to remember it well). Back then we only had like 3 chanells: TV1 TV2 & you guessed it… TV3 (NZ stuff) i dunno how we lived back then? When i was like 9 or something we got Sky (Sattelite TV) Futurama was a ting of the past… Then about a year ago (can't remember really? Could have been this year?) IT SHOWED AGAIN! Yay! It brought back some good old memorys… About three years ago it started showing really, but soo rarely (like once a week) i didn't see it much? Now it is on like almost every day! 
This show is the definition of the word Epic! (with the exeption of R&C of course)
I don't think i have seen any new ones? (i don't even know if we watch it on Comedy Central?) but Comedy Central are soo cheap (here at least they are soooo extremly cheap! Same ads… Same OLD OLD OLD movies that aren't always funny 
and shows that either suck (some) or repat over and over and over and over again 
( But it is my favourate channel no matter how cheap 
But anyway… What are the new ones like? Are they recognisable? Like the 'All New Simpsons' or just new with no increased quality? (i haven't seen all the episodes anyway :P But i don't think they made many? At leat not 100… Like Family Guy and The Simpsons it hasn't made a crappy 100th episode special or anything… AND I HOPE IT NEVER DOES!! Saw the first one for the first time the other day… Really cool! Especially how Fry meets Bender ROFLMAO
But yeah, overall, I personally think this is probably the best animated sitcom I've seen!
It's definitely one of the better animated sitcoms up to date. I find it a bit disappointing that Futurama gets overshadowed by Groening's The Simpsons. Simpsons just needs to stop right now, let Futurama come even further.
There are really great character development and humour from this show. I definitely get amused by funny moments said and done by Zoidberg and Professor Fonzworth. :XD:
