Thread: Your Favourite Decade(s)

What is/are your favourite part of the decade(s)?

From 1910 - 1990's, there were some interesting media, events and other things that happened during this time. The 2000's can be an option too if you thought there were some good things about that decade. But moving on, which ones are your favourite?

Well I have to say that I'm quite a fan of a few time eras. The late 30's to early 40's is definitely one of them just because I love cartoon classics and animated features during this decade. They were just incredible to watch through, especially when computers weren't around this time and was hand drawn instead. Hey, even my avatar is from an old Donald Duck short from the 30's.

Another decade I love is the 80's and there are a few reasons why. Well I was born in the 80's and I love the music around this time period the most. Pet Shop Boys, Queen and many One Hit wonder tunes really made this era memorable in my taste in music.

I'll also throw in the 90's there too because there was a lot of good nostalgia moments for me in the media. TV programs, Disney animated features, video games, neighborhood activities (like kick the can), music… There was a lot of things that were enjoyable and had "Wow" moments in the media of this decade.

And that's basically it.

I'm sure there's a decade that you enjoy… unless you don't care and just go with anything recent.

I think my favorite decade is the 90s. But I also like the rock from the 80s.

well I may not have a favourite decade but I do like the 90s like pipo not just cause I grew up in thoese years but there are things some I missed from thoese years like old/rare cartoons I havn't saw in ages or music I havn't heard in ages.

Oh yeah, Eiffel 65's one hit wonder "Blue" sure was overplayed during the late 90's. It was catchy until it got annoying afterwards.

As for the 2000s… what about Ratchet & Clank?

But I know what you mean though. I found the 20002 had some hits and flops around that decade. Now I am slightly afraid about what 2010 to 2020 is going to be like… with the media I mean.

But anyway, I just want to let everyone know that you guys don't have to pick one decade just because you only grew up in it. I'm sure there are many young people out there who are inspired with other past decades. I've met people around my age who are into things before they were even born, like 70's rock music or classic animated features which I'd mentioned earlier.

It appears as if people like them years for the music? Well i am one very strange person. Because i don't actually have any interest in any music at all? I dunno why? Suppose i'm wierd that way

I never focused much on the past? Suppose because i was born around 1996 and didn't really reember anything major about anything back then? So i suppose i like 2000 onwards! I do have a reason though! Because when i learnt how fun it was to use a computer (must have been around 2005?) i focused on games (like sims and old as Netguide demos) then i got into ROBOTS! Bigtime! Them eventually R&C and the PS2! Sooo… I suppose i'm into the future and all the years ahead!
