Thread: What's Your Most Addicting Game(s)?

Deleted user

Playing games are a pretty common addiction and we have so much fun playing them, but was there ever a game (or games) that you couldn't put the controller down for many hours? I'm sure we all had these moments.

Here are some of my most addicting experiences from these following games.

Harvest Moon 64 & Harvest Moon: Back to Nature

I only put those two games just because it's the only titles I had tried from the HM franchise.

The Harvest Moons games are pretty addicting in general, because you are multi-tasking to raise your farm by growing crops, raising animals, stocking your crops and improving your tools and land property. I think getting into the drama with the town's people and finding the girl of your dreams is what makes this series exciting because you are not sure what to do depending on the situation or you see the characters being developed into positive role-models if you are willing to help them. Harvest Moon may look cute and adorable, but it will suck you into the experience.

I remember playing Harvest Moon 64 a lot in grade 8 from around 9am to 4am during weekends and around summer vacation. Now those addicting moments are back again when I recently tried Harvest Moon: Back to Nature on the PSN (which originally came out for the PS1), but not as bad as my younger years with HM64.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Sure, the game may have a dragging first act of cutscenes with much repetitiveness and backtracking in the gameplay, but for some strange reason you cannot put the controller down. I believe the new elements in the gameplay (like the stamina bar and precise sword swinging mechanics) and the fun and intriguing characters this time around makes you curious to play the game much more further. Normally any 3D Zelda game will make you play for countless of hours, but somehow Skyward Sword's new features and captivating story draws you into this Zelda universe despite some of it's tiresome flaws.

This is the game I play so much during my holiday break last year that I've actually beat it in a week and a few days. When I saw there was Hero Mode after beating the game, I continued and bailed it.

The Original Sims Games

This is probably the only game franchise I got addicted to on the PC and I think I have to thank my high school friends for this (sarcasm). Just like Harvest Moon, seeing your Sims living together, going to places and developing a loving relationship is what made this series exciting. For me though, getting the extension packs for the first Sims game and building houses and places for the sims was my addiction. I just adored the new features and wanted to make my own houses, shops and vacation resorts out of them. Sometimes my friends who had Sims would download pre-made items from users, though they were risky to download since the game would crash.

Like I say in many threads, there's bound to be more on the list.

Well I have been hooked into many games, though it doesn't happen so much now, mainly a few years ago with games such as:

The Sims
Who didn't?

Impossible Creatures Demo
Sure it's only a Demo, but it was a great demo! I'll bet no one has heard of this game? It's a PC game, and it's one of those games where you build up bases and create armies to defeat the enemy (AI or a friend) you can just play normal rounds, or go though this epic campaign to save Rex's father, and defeat the bad guy. In the demo it was a fella named Whitey, however I'll bet the full game has a lot more to it. f the Demo were one fifth of the game, the game would easily be the longest game I have ever heard of. I spent a countless number of days going through the campaign itself, and a few weeks just doing many rounds of that multiplayer/AI thingy. The cool thing is, you can have like up to 6 enemies, and make some allys.

Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction
when I first got a PS3, this was the only game I had. And I didn't think I'd need any other games! I played this game for about one whole year! ONE YEAR OF ONE GAME!! I didn't seem to get sick of games to easily back then. Now if only I could not get sick of the many games I currently own…

Right now I think I'm most addicted to Temple Run on my iPhone. My highest score is 25,154,364.

everyones addicted to temple run but my game is
dead rising 2 off the record
this game is amazing it surpasses the dead rising games before idk
why no one has this game

For years and years I had always been addicted to Jak and Daxter The Precursor Legacy. It is the easiest game I've ever played [due to me playing it over and over again] and is always enjoyable to play. The soundtrack, gameplay, visuals and storyline makes it addictive and fun. I can't wait for the HD collection to finally play it again but on PS3 and earn trophies for extra fun emoji emoji emoji

At the moment though my current addictive games are Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky, it NEVER ends!!!!!!!!! :O Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, The Sims 1 Makin' Magic and Sims 2 University emoji

probably WipEout HD… I'm somewhat determined to get all the trophies…

Okami is my new game addiction, especally since I want to get 100% on it.

Just Cause 2!! The most awesome third person shooter game ever!! Get it, you'll like it! It's Grand Theft Auto and Prototype mixed into one game…

Wow, I think StarFox Adventures (GameCube). It's my favorite game of all time and everytime I finish it, I start a new file. There no end to this cycle xP

Whatever I happen to be playing emoji There's very few I can't put down until I reach the end of the game.
However for replayable addiction its really any of the R&C Future games, Resistance trilogy and Little Big Planet that keep calling me back. Often for a massive butt-kickingemoji

I think the most addictive game to be coming out will be on the 29th of the month, hopefully the trilogy won't be put back again emoji(

Right now, inFAMOUS 2. I played it for hours! All Ratchet and Clank, and the Jak and Daxter series.

AGREED! Although I'm relativly new to R&C and never played the original (Hence, stoked about the HD Collection emoji ) the futures are extremely addictive.

So is Pokemon White, which I have. And Skate 3. AND Sonic Unleashed. Oh, and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle! emoji
