I bought it (one of my first PS3 games actually) and tought it was pretty meh.
I do have fond memories of it though.
It was surely beautiful to look at, but the whole concept of this game is much different than the main series and it indeed works pretty meh.
You just reminded me how much I wish they revived the series for the PS4…

As much as I love the LocoRoco soundtrack I gotta admit - it's theme playing over and over is incredibly annoying.
Is this an official recommendation? I've never played it.
Well, the three PSP games are surely worth checking out. The first LocoRoco is a pretty easy, yet brilliant 2D platformer. Instead of controling the character, you control the world by making it flip left and right. In the gameplay, you only use R and L and eventually the circle button - and it works really well. It's also got some neat visuals and sound. The sequel is a… Sequel. More mechanics, more mini-games, more collectibles and so on. "Midnight Carnival" however is the previous two on drugs… From a slow paced, easy adventure it turns into a fast, explosive, crazy and really hard game. If you ever manage to get them, you should not be disappointed

In that case I have played on my friend's PSP. It was 'okay', didn't play it for more than 5 minutes. I'll pick it up when I see it on a fleamarket or something.

Actually, he is doing it in LBP3, so you didn't miss anything… And it's not ready, I just found his 'making of' videos on YouTube.

Sumo should really get their crap together.
I plan to get a PS4 by the end of the year, but I won't pick up LBP3 until patch 1.20 or something like that.
