Thread: Really Random thread

Think all of them leave a trail of destruction behind. Why can't they behave like a civilized people?!

There were some teen the other day and while the doors were about to open one person got out and they started marching inside barely letting us get ouside. Seriously, why can't some people just wait 5 seconds. It's not like the train is going to leave faster, so either they get first or last, there is no difference. It would be different for someone with mobility limitations that has to sit, but this….

No different here. It's like nobody has ever heard of the Shoulder Rule. Person with the shoulder closest to the door goes first. You do not pass a shoulder! That's jumping the queue…

Train chat? *checks for TomSka reference*, oh well I guess I can't contribute with the "I like trains" joke, as it's already been done.

I have been on a train before, but that was a long time ago, I remember it being pretty exciting so I must have been quite young. I guess it's just a part of life for some of you guys, and something you do every day, so I guess it would make sense that you get a few crazies from time to time.

On a random note: What has everyone been up to the last few months?

IG Forums are going bye-byes. This is a shame, I have such great memories of that old place. It used to be so lively that I'd often not bother posting there, and post here instead, due to that place moving way too fast for me to keep up.

Well hello there. In case you haven't known, we got a new member from Russia. And well, we were busy talking about sprache languages, history, train stories and stuff.

Hiya mr. Ruler! Long time no see!
A shame about IG Forum, yeah. But like you said, it was a little to busy to feel engaged.

As for me personaly, just working hard at school. Aka the usual. How are you?

Also great to see the community actually expanding a little from time to time. Good to see a few of you guys still post regularly here after all these years! I never expected that I would drop off in activity before a few of you, but times get busy I guess.

The IG community has always been a really great place for a good read on all the latest happenings, and it is quite old (for me), being the first community I ever joined, it feels so sad to see it go… this is just a big repeat of the first multiplayer game I took seriously, Resistance 2… which happens to be an Insomniac game.

I hope we aren't beginning to see the fall of forum-based communities in favor of things like Twitter and Reddit.

So you're still going through your studies at a smooth pace then? That's good. What became of your work for that game development company on the Deliver us the Moon project? Do you still work for them? Is the game out?

I am still pursuing my studies into computer science. I don't feel like a much better programmer than I used to be, but I been venturing deeper into web development. I'd still rather do software programming, but I think the world has plans to push me in the direction of web development instead, so I'll be happy enough doing that.

I think we are, though. The BioWare forums (very very old too) were recently brought down as well. But I fail to see how Facebook is anything like a forum…

I'm currently working on my bachelor. So at least 3 more years of school for me. Woohoo.
As far as DUtM goes, it was picked up by Starbreeze (from PayDay and Dead By Daylight). And they're really helping speed things along. It's truly becoming a beaitful game now. I'm not currently working on it, but I drop by the office whenever I can.

Only because you can't *see* the progress, cause you are *living it*. Follow your heart with these things. If you prefer to do software programming, then "push" the world back a little harder.

I see I was introduced… Thank you very much for that, ankadewo ^^

Really sorry for taking too long to answer… Hi, Ratchetruler ^^

On a random note: What has everyone been up to the last few months?

Pretty busy tbh. I'm so scared to even consider examination session coming soon, but, well, it starts next week… And I'm not enthusiastic about it even in the slightest.

This is your last year then?

I'm kind of misoriented XD are you talking to me, HeatherGrace?

Yes, sorry.emoji
There was only one other post, so I didn't quote it.

Oh, I see :"D

Well we have examination session every half a year, so the 2nd year of University is ending soon.

Ah, I see. What do you study?
(and I'm guessing Russia doesn't use the European Credits system then)

I study linguistics of Japanese and translation procedure. ^^
Yeah it does't. We kinda have our own unique system for education, it's only based on European ways.

…specifically Japanese or (in part) for languages in general?
