If I remeber correctly, any CHARCTER (helpdesk does not count) in the R&C series have ever told you to "press the R1 button", or "use the left analog stick to move" (Sigmund in ACiT and Clank in DL were close, but they never directly said to press a certain button or use a certain stick). They should've shown a picture of Bentley and his famous "jump and press the circle button".
